  • Cowher leaving the Steelers!!

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2720242

That is a big loss for Pittsburgh

He was a great coach with the only tenure that was longer than Shanahan's....

Shanny takes the riegns as the longest tenured coach
I owe CP's to: no one

Ah, now hopefully in 2008 he will return to being a head coach in the NFL as ....

      Coach of the CLEVELAND BROWNS!
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

He's expected to leave. But he still hasn't said if he was going to yet.

Yeah right, that would be like a basketball coach leaving Kentucky and returning to Louisville.

Or a college football coach leaving LSU and returning to 'Bama.

The Houston Oilers relocated to Tennessee and became the Tennessee Oilers and then in 1999 changed their name to the Tennessee Titans and the 'Oilers' name, colors, and history were retired.

Where did his NFL Coaching experience begin? Under Marty Schottenheimer's staff in Cleveland. Watch any tapes from the Browns from 1985-1988 and who do you see on the sideline? Bill Cowher and Marty Schottenheimer.

I hate Cowher very much for going to Pittsburgh, but I do not rule out a potential return of him to Cleveland. He is under contract for the 2007 season and surely the Rooney's would not let him go to a division rival. So, he is retiring for the 2007 season and in 2008 when his contract is up, Crennell will likely be fired already and Cowher will take his stead.

Well, actually, I don't want him fired. I wouldn't mind him getting a demotion to DC though.

                        HC: Bill Cowher
                        OC: ?
                        DC: Romeo Crennell
                        ST: Jerry Rosburg

                        That'd be pretty sweet.

Now wouldn't that be a kick in the groin to Pittsburgh

                            It already is.

It took a Browns coach to get the Steelers another Super Bowl.

I don't think he will accept DC post in Cleveland..

Denver badly needs a Defensive Coordinator and he fits perfectly here.

By the way.. I heard Crennel getting fired this season..

is there any chance for that???
