  • Another greedy player can't honor his contract...Grrr

Mike McKenzie of the Packers just completed the second year of a five year $17.1 million contract but isn't happy that several other corners have passed him up in pay and has demanded a trade and refuses to play for the Pack.

These freaking players need to realize that when you sign a long term deal, other players are going to pass you up in salary. That's how the game works. If you don't intend to honor your damn contract, DON'T ACCEPT A SIGNING BONUS!!!

These boneheads take the big signing bonus then just a couple years later b*tch and moan until they are cut or traded and then the team gets the damn signing bonus accelerated onto their current salary caps. These whiny, greedy players are hurting the game and their teams in more ways than one.

Pardon my rant but I'm getting utterly sick of these punk asses.

Julian Peterson is the same way right now. And unfortunately, my team is going through the same thing. The Falcons and Ellis Johnson are bunting heads. And the Falcons have made it clear that they aren't paying his demands.

Tell McKenzie to cut his hair, damn punk.

He doesn't like the pay, don't play. Sit down shut up, someone will fill your spot and you can lose those game checks that you weren't satisfied to be getting in the first place.

          I agree Jav

I certainly hope that this isn't some epedemic that will burst into epic proportions. I'm getting awful tired of hearing players whine that they are only making $10 million a year to play a game that the majority of males in this Country would play for pennies if not free ( assuming we had talent that is ). Look at the CP and Gold for instance. They both whined about the $$$. I wish no health issues on either of them, but I sincerely hope that they both have crappy seasons.

If only C-PO would've kept his mouth shut, my $200 jersey wouldn't be outdated with his last name on it. I'll gladly switch jobs with Mike McKenzie, and he'll realize just how damn good he has it.

I don't really mind the players trying to get the big bucks once their current contracts are up. I just hate how more and more of them seem to be trying to get out of their contracts. I mean McKenzie had only played 2 out of his 5 year contract which was already paying him a lot of money. That's a lot of freakin' nerve, if you ask me.

I can understand Portis wanting a raise. But the fact that he wouldn't settle for less than being the top paid running back really irks me. He turned down both the big contract extension and the insurance policy despite still having half his contract to go. That's what bugs me about him. But he got what he wanted; what a great example to other players.
