Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

This may be a n00b question but I am going to ask it.
Why do Quarterbacks lick their hands so much?
If you look at Peyton Manning in this Super Bowl he will probably lick his hands 4 times before snapping the ball and 2 times after the play. Jake Plummer does it aswell, basically all QB's do it.

But why
The saliva's slightly tacky, so some QB's (inlcuding me a long, long time ago ) lick their fingers in the belief it improves their grip on the ball.
Cricketer's used to do a similar thing, until it was banned because of the weeding and fertilising agents used on the pitch

I have noticed that too.........Manning does that when he is walking off the field to the sidelines also..
And I also have a question....why is it that players can't get their own drink of water??.......there is always someone else holding the bottle up to their mouth for them............these are grown men..........and you would think they could do it all by themselves.
My 3 favorite teams:
1.The Denver Broncos
2.The Ohio State Buckeyes
3.Any team who plays Michigan

It's a habit.
I always took the grass off my cleats by rubbing it against the other cleats every play.
Player's would probably forget to get drinks because of the emotions of the game (also they might not have enough time) and I bet there are trainers hired to keep players hydrated.
