Also ifs and buts are part of sport but Reid would be at Belichick level if he had a better qb than McNabb during those 2001 - 2004 4 straight NFC championship appearances years.
You really can't say that until he ends his career. Mahomes has had a sensational start but it's longevity that determines greatness. He's also had the fortune to have played in a division that's been relatively poor since he entered into it. That will change over time- maybe as soon as next season.

I don't think the Chiefs were the best team this year - Philly was. But the Chiefs did play the biggest moments the best. Credit to them for that - it is the mark of champions after all. However, there's an element of luck in that, and that won't always benefit from it.

As for Reid, not only is he one one of the best O minds we have ever seen but he's also universally popular. No-one has a bad word to say about him.

Brady is a better qb than Mahomes. Not sure if Mahomes is in my top 5 all time but he is on his way for sure. I would like to see what happens to him when more pieces change. He survived missing Hill. Can he survive missing Kelce?

Reid is better than Belichick imo. Reid has taken multiple Qbs to the playoffs. Multiple Qbs to the conf championship and multiple qbs to the Super Bowl. Belichick's success is tied to Brady who is by far the best qb to ever play in the NFL.

Kelce is amazing. I think that should not be left out of this discussion. Maybe the best TE to ever play.
When you want to feel negative about the Broncos think of this. Detroit Lions have 1 playoff win in the Super Bowl era in 1992 (1991 season). They are 0-3 in the playoffs since 2000.

I call the Super Bowl champ the best team. That is how the NFL works imo.

To support your point though....how many best of 5 series and best of 7 series in other sports would have changed if it was just game 1 and not a series?

On Reid. Made the point Reid is better than Belichick in my previous post. I think he is the best HC in the NFL right now. I think Kelce is maybe the best TE to ever play in the NFL. In a few years I will be ready to start trying to figure out where Mahomes sits on the NFL qb all time. He is trending up for sure.

In fairness the Chiefs would probably have won over 5-7 games too as they have the knack of winning when it matters.

Perhaps what I meant to say is that over the course of the season the Eagles played the better football, not that they were the better team.
