I wish the lists would just go off cap hits.
Lot of things are done in contracts. The best metric to use is cap hit as that is what controls what else a team can do in terms of paying other players.
Next best metric is guaranteed money. Take it to another level already paid guaranteed and future guaranteed to understand team moves even more. Future guaranteed is the money that can be transferred to another team via trade. Already paid guaranteed is going to hit the current team one way or another (signing bonus for example)Skill + Effort = Talent. Talent + Effort = Achievement. A. Duckworth - Grit.
