  • Do the Chiefs have enough power to get to the play-offs???

I am not a chief fan at all...but it seems like they are a scary team every year one week they'll put up 45 against a good team then the next they put up 7 on a sorry team, thats why they are so scary..
they have took a big hit this off season and have also picked up a few players along the way...do they have enough to make it to the playoffs this year..I know it also depends on the QB whos it going to be???...........they still have L.J. he's a stud and there stud T.E. there defense is all right not the best, corners are fine,WR's suck, off line sub par,sp. teams sub par...I would like to know from all members what do you think....I was just wondering..

LJ just set the single season rushing attempt record. Jamal Anderson broken down the season after setting the previous mark. Does not bode well for KC.

Their offense is weak in just about every position except TE. Their defense is mediocre. They will NOT make the playoffs.

The Chargers and Broncos are better at nearly every position, and the Raiders just
may be nearly as good now.

      So . . . nope.

as the off-season went on and on they new they had a lot of spots to fill they tried to fill a few in the draft with late round WR that i dont think will work out for them..they did not even try FA in getting big name players..
why is that?? cap room??......they could have made a few trades but declined whys that also??....now they have what they have a worse team then last year..I dont understand

If the Raiders offense can start putting up, like, 17 PPG, then they'll be an 8-8 or 9-7 team So, if they can stop sucking balls, they'll be in third and the Chiefs won't.

          So no playoffs for Hermie.

I don't know what goes on inside the head of the Chiefs FO. I just know that they're weak at just about every position BUT TE, and I wouldn't be filled with confidence if Herm Edwards was my team's coach.

            Put a fork in 'em.

They made the playoffs last year, and we didn't. Does that mean they are a better team? No, but yes, they could make the plaoffs again. Who is to say?

I think they are in a rebuilding situation now and are just riding LJ as long as he lasts...riding him so fans still have interest (business) and riding him so they are still a "contender" for the playoffs. They are in purgatory right now as a team.

yes i understand they made it and we did not....kind of like the redskins they look good on paper but in the real game thye stink...........the chiefs are rebuilding but in the wrong way...and the L.J. story they are justing riding him every team would love to have him but not for 80 millon plus that huge s.bonus....
If he does as well as he did last year the chiefs will give him a chanch to be on the team again but it wont be cheep 50 mill. plus 15 mill signing bonas.. they need WR bad

Well they will get at least one win by beating us at KC...do not know where the other 9 wins will come from.

                    R Ayers - B Cofield - A Haynesworth - CJ ohnson
                    J Anderson - J Beason - DJ Williams
                    R Bailey - P Amukamara - R Hill - A Goodman

best post in this thread thus far...will the Chiefs make the playoffs
its hard to say if they will or won't. The season is still a few months away.
What teams will make the POs in the division. Who knows? Injuries can and do
happen to all teams so to say that KC will not is premature.

I am not saying they will and yea they are in a rebuilding stage which is something
that was going to happen eventually.

Okay, here's all I'm saying: I don't see a way that KC wins the AFC West or beats out at least 10 of the remaining 11 teams, and I see plenty of ways that they end up .500 and below.

I know, I know: training camp hasn't even started, they made the playoffs last year, etc etc etc. They have Tony Gonzalez and Larry Johnson. But here's what they'll need to make the playoffs:

Option 1: Beat out both Denver and San Diego to win the AFC West. San Diego is too good to completely fall apart, and Denver is on the up-swing. This isn't going to happen.

Option 2: Wild Card. You figure that New England will probably take the AFC East, Baltimore will take the AFC North, and Indy will take the AFC South. KC would need to beat out Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, the Jets, and whoever doesn't win the West.

Sorry, but if I could bet on "Chiefs miss the playoffs" I'd consider it easy money right now.
