Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Tampa Bay, Miami, and Cleveland all have their QBs of the future that might not play (Simms might still be injured?), so he could probably compete for the #1 spot in these teams.
Leave Cleveland out of this.
The Browns have absolutely no need for ANOTHER QB.
Charlie Frye, Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn is enough.
No need for a fourth QB - if you can even call Plummer that.

It wasn't really much of an option, though, as Jake doesn't want to compete for the #1; he wants an assurance that he'll be the #1, and no way that happens in Cleveland.
There was an article posted somewhere here that said that Gruden's been stockpiling QBs for value to negotiate trades with teams that could suddenly need them. Jeff Garcia's coming off a pretty good year's performance in the games he's played, even in their playoff loss, and Gruden knows Jake doesn't want to compete for the #1, so he most likely wants to trade him for value. Just an opinon.
Actually, after the year Garcia had I was just thinking that if Jake gets the starting job in Tampa we should try to trade them their 4th rounder back for Garcia. Ramsey's not bad, but Garcia was on my short list of guys I wanted to see in Denver backing Cutler. On the other hand, we might not be able to afford someone like that; of all the guys at whom I looked, Patrick Ramsey went completely under my radar. I was kinda hoping for Garcia, Carr or Brunell; my fantasy pick would've been Huard, but I didn't think the Chiefs would be stupid enough not to keep him as the starter. Though to hear SOME people tell it they actually are that stupid....
I hold no ill will toward Jake and wish him the best whatever he decides; after going 13-3 and hosting an AFCCG he's gotta still be hungry for a SB (it's a long way from Arizona, eh, Jake...?) I live in Austin; I was never impressed with Phil Simms when he was riding Parcells D to a Ring and I've never been impressed with his kid either. Ask yourself what the Texas Longhorns did with Chris Simms and what they did without him, and then tell me: Is he a great QB, or did he just play for a team that made him look good like his dad did...?
I think he could beat Simms out for the start, but Garcia's a talented vet and might be a bit harder to displace.
