Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

He hasn't been up to par. He hasn't been the same since his Viking days. So, that is why there is so much 'hate' as you put it. It isn't 'hate' though. It is logic. He hasn't been the same Culpepper. Teams are worried that his injury has left a lasting impression on him.
So many like to say ' he hasn't done anything since Moss.' Yet... how many other QBs have succeeded WITH Moss? Do people really think that all of Culpepper's former success was solely because of Randy Moss? Really? He did NOTHING for the Raiders.. and if there were any QBs to be made to look better, it was there.
Culpepper's knee was SHREDDED. All three ligaments were torn. I can't think of another athlete that has come back from that injury. Right now the Dolphins know that he can't come back (or certainly feel very certain that the likelihood is very small). They HAD to make a move and get a starting quality QB that can throw the ball from the pocket.
I think other teams would be foolish to spend the money and take the chance on Dante until he can prove that his knee actually will heal. Until then, he's only a roster spot that is eating money.

Another angle I hadn't thought of. Very good points.

I think Moss played a huge role in helping to shape Culpepper's #'s when he played there.
He didn't exactly have an all star QB throwing his direction in Oakland either...
