Which college has produced the most impressive list of RBs in the NFL? Admittedly, there are some names that could have been and should have been on there but with limited space there were some omissions. Plus, its possible that a few guys (like Reggie Bush) may not belong on there but Im acknowledge some idea of potential.

Its kind of crazy when you look at the talent Florida has produced at RB when you consider that people think its a passing school. Their QBs are nowhere close to their RBs. They have two Heisman winners (both QB) and yet, they have been more talented at RB. In fact, Grossman is probably their best NFL QB and he is a WIP.

Originally posted by ChampWJWell it's easy to say Florida produces great running backs when the NFL's all time leading rusher went there. But not including him, who else is worth mentioning? Errict Rhett? Fred Taylor? Not exactly all-time greats. I guess some of Georgia's guys aren't really worth mentioning, but clearly a longer line of NFL RB's than Florida.
Walker 8,225
Davis 7,160
Hearst 5,517
Hampton 6,897
Smith 18,355
Taylor 9,513
Anderson 6,166
Rhett 4,143

And like I said, not including Emmitt Smith, the talent doesn't measure up. Put Emmitt's stats up against those from any other school and you'll see a mismatch.
Edit: You got Hearst's yardage wrong. He had 7966 yards. Also, Herschel had over 5,500 yards rushing in his three seasons in the USFL.Last edited by ChampWJ; 06-09-2007, 03:11 PM.

By the way, did you know: About Herschel Walker
