While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

Sounds like he has a case of Alberto Gonzalesitis. It's a real bad disease that causes its victims to have extremely selective memories.
I'm not disagreeing with you because he should be allowed time with his child, but if the text messages are threatening they are against the law.
As a mother, I have received those kind of messages from my ex, and the last thing I want to do after receiving them is drop my children off with him. You fear for your own safety as well as that of your childs after those kinds of messages.
Both sides should be following the orders of the court and minimalizing the amount of contact between each other. Rather than sending the messages, he should have taken her back to court and she would have been held in contempt.
Also, I'm sure if he missed child support she wouldn't be sending him profane text messages, she would have him back in court.

I remember when she called me a dirty name said I'd never see my kid again, etc. Then she tried to pull your exact same argument because I called her a bad name back. The problem is you can't separate your hurt feelings from what is right. You use the children as a power play and it has nothing to do with "fear" it's just bait to get the father to react badly because he has no rights.

And I dont know if this has been taken care of but in this article it states he only pays $2k per month in child support - thats insane - again in OK we have child support guidelines - every person pays the same based on how much each parent makes and I can tell you this he'd be paying a hell of a lot more than that in OK - unless she makes just as much as he does (which I dont know - according to the article it sounds like she doesnt have much of an income and it certainly doesnt equal Urlachers)
One more thing - just because one parent does not comply - does not give the other parent a right not to comply - ie even if he wasnt paying child support (whihc it sounds like he is) she still could not keep him from seeing the child without being in contempt herself (in OK anyways)

But its not about the amount he pays its about the amount he makes - and once he stops making that much money all he has to do is Motion the Court to Modify Child Support based on his new income - your child support payment amount is not set for the life of the child (you just have to pay something until they are 18 - 19 if still regularly enrolled in HS) - its based on the circumstances of the parents (again here in OK) If Dad makes 80k a year and mom makes 25K and five years later dad gets laid off and mom has gotten 5 promotions and she now makes 50k a year and he makes 25k the judge will change the child support amount he is supposed to pay
Also,in OK we have "shared parenting", the non-custodial parent gets "credit" for the more they have the kids - so it makes a difference if dad/mom has the kid for 120 nights or 180 nights
And im not saying I wouldnt kill for 2k a mth in CS - I get 200 - but its not always about gold digging - what the courts should do is figure out how much it takes to raise the kid (2k is certainly enough) and make the rest go into some trust) but thats a whole nother issue -
Cuz I do believe most of these women who get themselves pregnant via a star/athlete etc do it solely for the $$$$ - I wont dispute that
But if my ex suddenly came into a few million - I think my son has a right to more money - but ive been lucky - Ive been through two "divorces" if you will - all lawyer and court free - both my ex's and I have pretty much always agreed when it came to the kids - thats because we put the kids FIRST and knew fighting over why WE werent together wasnt going to accomplish anything
I did the CSG (child support guidelines) and imputed Urlacher with 320,000 per mth (240k per game x 16 games divided by 12 - to make it easy) and gave her an income of 5k per month (which IMO I would just DIE to make that) and due to his high salary it would be up to the Judge to impute him with a child support amount but the guidelines imputed him with a $1300.00 per month payment - so I assumed way wrong in my other post - although I know the judges here and he would be paying more than 2k per month

Where a lot of these jocks get nailed on these kids by goldiggers is not in sex with bimbos they meet on one night stamds,but in relaionships where they put trust in the woman in taking her pill.Of course she conveniently stops taking them,when she wants a baby.Brady got nailed in a similar way,but not by a goldigger,but by a lady who wanted a baby because of her age.I've never been in a live in relationship,and used condoms,like I expect most of us.Personally,I hate the dang things.
