5% body fat is extremely rare. To go from 13% to 5% in this relatively short time span is also miraculous. An analogy is a woman going from a B cup to a double D in six months without being pregnant. It makes me wonder how this was accomplished.

I guess that I am a doubting Thomas. To me, when something sounds too good to be true, it either isn't true or better living through chemistry or surgery has taken place. Maybe it is just me but it sure sounds too good to be true.

Couch Says He’ll Try One More Time

Tim Couch, Mr. Football, All-American and the first pick in the NFL draft, will try one more time to catch on with an NFL team. In an exclusive interview with our Drew Deener, Couch said he’s in the best shape of his life and has contacted every team in the NFL, looking for work.

Couch, who will turn 30 this month, said he’s up to 245 lbs., more than 20 lbs. over his playing weight when he was drafted by the Browns in 1999, and has lowered his body fat content from 13 percent to five percent.

The former Leslie Co. and UK star says he will make one final attempt to play pro football, but he said, if no teams call, he will walk away from the game he loves.

“I know it’s cliché, but I’m doing it for the love of the game. It’s what I love to do, it’s who I am,” Couch told 27 SportsFirst. “I want to walk away on my terms.”

Couch has been working with a personal trainer, rehabbing his surgically repaired shoulder in Miami. Couch says he’s been throwing pain free for the better part of the past year.

Catch more of our interview with Tim Couch tonight at 6:20 and 11:20, only on WKYT-TV.
