  • Why Michael Vick MUST take a leave of absence

What happens if there is a miraculous run at an undefeated season, a 2000 yard rushing and/or receiving year, a 50 TD season by a QB or a defense that only allows a total of 150 points for an entire season? IF one of those feats happens, it will all be forgotten because the focus will be on the Vick investigation. Simply put, that is the reason that Vick MUST take a leave of absence until his legal issues get resolved. Granted, he may be innocent, but anytime there is a federal indictment hanging over someone’s head, it doesn’t fair well for that individual.

Plus, this is a league that we all love with great passion. Some may love just one team and HATE the remaining 31 teams. But the love for the game from a fans perspective needs to be put into this situation. Just imagine if one of those feats happens and it happens to be someone on the ’07 Broncos or the Broncos team (undefeated and holding their opponents to under 150 points ) and all anyone was talking about was Vick.

Michael, just take a leave of absence and just leave us alone.

Unfortunately the worst they can give him is about 5 years but at least that should retire him. I hope they HOUND him relentlessly.

Why Michael Vick MUST take a leave of absence

I own a bull dog and feel if he is convicted they should lock him in a pit with a bunch of pit bulls and see how he likes dogfighting then. I feel he is a real fraud both in the community and the nfl. He should not play a down this season.

There are plenty of reasons Vick should be locked up, but this is a pretty selfish one, IMO.

You are correct. It is VERY selfish. The point I was trying to make, I did so poorly, was that I don't want the league to be pulled down the way the MLB (steriods) & now the NBA (fixing games by officials) are. If Vick is guilty, he deserves every bit of punishment thrown his way. In the mean time, it would be best for the NFL and its fans if Vick were to take a leave of absense or have the Falcons suspend him before the NFL does.

the real reason he should leave

Hes the most overrated qb in the nfl. Id rather have Joey Harrington.
