I do agree Vick shouldn't play until this situation is cleared or he's kicked out the NFL but I will not give my name and address to PETA. Soon you'll be getting literature, junk mail, and they'll sell your address to other organizations and PETA is an organization I do not support. The owner of the Falcons should put him on paid leave and let his due-process with the legal system. I think he's a lousy human being for even knowing of the dog fighting.

ORIGINALLY I felt that Goodell had no choice but to suspend Vick based on the suspensions that he's laid out already for those that haven't been convicted or found guilty.
But then I was listening to some lawyers on ESPN radio, and they explained that you can get a grand jury to indict a 'ham sandwich' if you wanted. So just because their is an indictment against Vick in this case, means absolutely NOTHING as to his involvement. Seriously. This surprised me as well. The indictment is NO indicator as to his innocence or guilt concerning his involvement in this dog-fighting ring.
NOW.. that being said. If I'm judging based on the info I know (which is ONLY the info fed to me by the media...and from personal experience, I know that means SQUAT when it comes to the real FACTS ), I would say that Mike Vick DID know what was going on, and WAS involved and participated in the dog fighting ring. Thats using the logic of "REASONABLE doubt" and not expecting anyone to try and remove all doubt. You can't possibly remove all doubt.
SINCE an indictment means absolutely nothing, and an indictment can be attained so easily against anyone... then I do NOT believe Mike Vick should be suspended from the NFL.... YET.Comment

Formal charging document presented by the prosecuting attorney to a grand jury. The grand jury may then issue the indictment if it believes that the accusation, if proved, would lead to a conviction.
mova.missouri.org/cjterms.htm
The formal charge issued by a grand jury stating that there is enough evidence that the defendant committed the crime to justify having a trial; it is used primarily for felonies
A formal accusation by a grand jury that charges a person with a crime. Indictments are used to bring more serious charges and are used in circuit court only.
What i am reading hear is this. That a jury heard the charges and whatever else they have on him would warrant to charge a person witha crime. now they have to go to court where his defense lawyers will be able to give there own witnesses cross examine others and dispute the facts. while it definelty doesnt mean he is guilty the feds thought they had a strong enough case to involve him. remember the feds prosecute up to 90 some odd percent of there Indictments. The fool who fancies he is full of wisdom
While he sits by his hearth at home.
Quickly finds when questioned by others .
That he knows nothing at all.👍 1Comment

Tell the NFL you want Vick suspended.
Now, I'm not a big fan of most of PETA's tactic's or reasoning, but I do agree that for the good of the game, that Michael Vick should be treated in the same fashion as Pacman, or Chris Henry.
Suspension.
Pacman hasn't been convicted of anything, but has a 1 year suspension.
Vick has at least 47 charges in a Federal Indictment, and has received no censure by the NFL.
Tell Roger Goodell you disapprove.

Do I agree with what Vick did? Hell no. I love dogs and get pissed off when I see abuse, dog fighting, etc. Our dogs are treated practically as good as us two leggers in the house. My one poodle has had to ACL repairs, just had a benign tumor removed, etc. Whatever they need, we do. They are part of the family, so I don't like one bit what Vick, his family and friends were doing.
However, is that really a concern for the NFL? If so, where do you draw the line? Based on his retroactive handing out of 'justice' we could even have more Broncos on their way to suspensions with several having relatively recent DUI or domestic (or other) violence charges.
Should Kircus get suspended for getting into a fight and breaking (literally) someone's face? Should Marshall get suspended for preventing his girlfriend from getting into a cab or driving away, or whatever it was that happened where he got charged with? The human body has two ends on it: one to create with and one to sit on. Sometimes people get their ends reversed. When this happens they need a kick in the seat of the pants. --- Theodore Roosevelt

However I think 47 charges in a federal indictment is really something that needs to be addressed, even if it is as simple as the rumoured paid-suspension.President of the GPA, Head of Mainland Europe Chapter

That is one of the issues I have with Goodell's cowboy mentality. He is suspending people for things they haven't even been convicted of. So, should Marshall be suspended for scaring the crap out of his girl friend? How about DJ for drunk driving?
Where do you make the determination of when someone should be suspended for something they have been 'accused of' and when they shouldn't?
Should Sam Brandon have been suspended for two games for domestic violence charges from '04 and '05?
Where does Goodell draw the line? Does he start researching to see if any current NFL players stole a classmates lunch money in elementary school????The human body has two ends on it: one to create with and one to sit on.
