I for one would think it may be a good investment to give him a chance if he is axed. Think about it, he was sposed to be a 1st rounder last year (or supposedly) and was the second best wideout in that draft, granted it was a weak draft but if he was a free agent after only his second season we may get a steal just by giving him a chance.... no doubt he has talent.

i dont think clark is a scrub . . . where do you come up with that, he performed very well while i was at training camp, and has had solid, not great, but solid preseason games

the guy hasnt even caught 1 pass in an NFL game and your calling him a scrub. . . . i agree with you on most things i feel (like you sig lol) but give him a chance to at least play before calling him a scrub

mind you that rod was an UDFA as well . . . disclaimer: i am not way, shape, or form saying that brian clark is as good as rod smith or, that he is worse than rod smith, for all we know he could be terrible, but just as likely he could be great

just keep an open mind, i read on the denver website that he is a very hard worker and is always talking to smith about what to improve on or do different

but back to the tread topic . . . . NO

Of course you don't! You're a good fan.

But to me, Denver can't even develope the WR's they draft in the 1st/2nd/3rd round, so I'm gonna go with the "Believe it when I see it" approach to some dude they signed off the streets.

            I'm jaded.

All I'm saying in that post is that Clark is the typical Shanahan "project" (that likely won't be around for long) not the Claytons/Williams/Jacksons.

And it's funny you should mention Rod Smith because it's my opinion that Shanahan is perpetually trying to catch the Rod Smith Lightening In A Bottle again.....

Yup. He blew out his knee in the AFCCG and wont play at all this season, says my source who works for the Patriots on the sidelines.

Oh...maybe he won't be utilized as a deep threat. Maybe they could give him one of those Power Chairs for senior citizens, and use him in the slot on third down. That way Patriots fans have another excuse when Brady ends another season with an interception.

Yet again, thank goodness I am not the GM. I wanted Jackson in the worst way in the draft. He looked like crap last year and now he'll miss a significant portion of the season (if the PUP report is correct). Let's see, Javon or Chad Jackson, let me think, um, Javon.

                      Because he doesn't have a known-name?

I don't think Rod was known league-wide when he got signed.....

                      ...but Lelie sure was heralded.
