The man may have made some questionable moves recently, but he loved the Raiders so much that he didn't quit on them. He tried his best to make them a great team again. May he RIP.

RIP Al Davis. A truly hated rival and that is what makes you respected by us.Rivalries are what makes all sports more fun. You were the king whether it be Al Vs. the NFL, Al Vs. Mike Shanahan or any other fight you fought, it was worth watching.

It's also hard to explain the emotional connection we Raider fans have with him, especially us older ones who saw him at the beginning and height of his glory. Despite what happens on the field and front office as a result, this loss rips our hearts out.

He did a whole lot for the NFL. Seemed as if he just couldn't adjust to the current NFL.

    RIP

He did far too much for this sport. Without him the NFL really wouldn't be what it is today. A true legend. Al Davis is the Oakland Raiders. RIP

I dunno why but it reminds me of when the Emperor died in Return of the Jedi, I have a feeling people are celebrating.

Now before I get flamed, I understand he was a great person that helped the NFL but c'man, the last 10+ yeats he made some STUPID choices with his team from insane contracts, to questionable draft picks, the Raiders get better instantly from this once they recover.

    Overall RIP to his fam
