Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

There was only one Al Davis!
He will be missed.
What a character.
As a relatively recent fan of the NFL, I didn't realise how much he had contributed to the game.
RIP Al. My condolences to the family.
In recent years his football credibility may have dropped, but he was without a doubt one of the most iconic owners of a professional sports franchise in America.
I always thought he would live another 20 years, just out of sheer will to stick his nose up to everyone. The man was an innovator, and really made the league. RIP Al.
Even though we loved to hate you because of the compitition in our division, it was all in fun for the game. Because of that you will be missed. My thoughts go out to your family, friends and the fans of the Raiders.
And now the Raiders will return to dominance. He made some dumb moves over the last 10 years, my respects to him and his family but this team is going to get better moving fwd, just telling it how it is
I dunno why but it reminds me of when the Emperor died in Return of the Jedi, I have a feeling people are celebrating.
Now before I get flamed, I understand he was a great person that helped the NFL but c'man, the last 10+ yeats he made some STUPID choices with his team from insane contracts, to questionable draft picks, the Raiders get better instantly from this once they recover.
