Former Cleveland Browns return man Josh Cribbs was signed by the Raiders during the offseason to bolster the team's special teams unit.
But so far, writes Jorge Contreras of Bay Sports Report, Cribbs has not looked like the same player that played for the Browns. Contreras writes that Cribbs doesn't have the same explosiveness. In fact, he writes that it's all gone and the Raiders should cut Cribbs.
With the rise of seventh round pick Brice Butler and undrafted free agent Chance Casey, the Raiders have no room for a washed up return man. There can be novels written on how bad the Raiders first team looked tonight against the New Orleans Saints, but their young receivers and defensive backs did look decent.
The Raiders, writes Contreras, should spend more time giving their younger players a chance instead of hanging on to Cribbs.
