Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Hopefully the justice system will hand him a lengthy prison sentence and not go easy on him like they did with Donte Stallworth.
Stallworth got off easy because the person he hit was illegally jaywalking. Stallworth was drunk and deserved to be punished for driving drunk, but it was determined that his being drunk isn't actually what caused the accident and he likely wouldn't have been able to avoid the person even if he were stone cold sober.
As opposed to Ruggs, who was going 156 MPH with a BAC twice the legal limit.
Still do not get why killing someone while intoxicated or when driving is any different. Killing someone is killing someone.
There should be no dui manslaughter. Just manslaughter. Should have same requirement and same punishment.
Get the illegal cross the street part but does that mean two people making a bad decision makes it only worth a month? That is a bit more complicated but I am thinking the law needs some work on that one too.
There are just too many example of the law being too easy....or too harsh for that matter. I can make some arguments why maybe this was understandable before 2000 but if there is one thing that should have aggressive continuous improvement it should be the law system.
People in the USA say a lot of critical things about the USA but once one travels to other countries and realizes how much better the USA is overall than almost all of its competitors. imo a huge reason why is the law system. Keep it up to date and sharp.
yeah, I believe DUI manslaughter should be treated as a separate offense from regular manslaughter because the perpetrator made a conscious decision to drink and then get behind the wheel of a car. This decision puts not only themselves but also others on the road in danger.
I do agree that there may be room for improvement in the legal system when it comes to determining appropriate punishments for different crimes. It's important for the law to keep up with changing societal attitudes and norms to ensure that justice is being served fairly.
Henry Ruggs III unconditionally waived his right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday and will plead guilty to one count of DUI resulting in death and one count of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.
some resolution coming soon.
