Nobody's saying he's comparable to Bo Nix on the move. What I'm saying is "almost zero" is like comparing him to Dwayne Haskins. Maybe that's how you see him, and that's fine. To each their own. As far as statistical aids on handling pressure inside the pocket, there's a lot that goes into...

Nowadays I prefer watching the games over pressure/blitz stats. I used to value them quite a bit, but I've learned the hard way that they can be misleading. Watching all of Penix's games, I would say that there are some concerns there (like in the Michigan game where he's running up into the pocket),...

I've pretty much covered my takeaways from watching the games, so I won't bother you with any of that. I can see offenses where Nix would be a better fit, and I can see offenses where Penix would be a better fit. That applies to most QBs though, I think. If I were to "Barney Style" my general...

  • I do think there are concerns there based on the tape. No disagreement, but I'm not trying to write him off for the ASU or Michigan games. Especially the ASU game. I don't think it's as bad as some make it out to be. As far as bad tape. Watch Drake Maye against Clemson or JJ McCarthy against Maryland....

  • I can't say I blame them though. The Bucks and Cavs basically avoided playing the 6ers in the 1st round by losing today. I guess the Knicks would rather play the 6ers and potentially get home court against Milwaukee in the eastern semifinals than play the Pacers. Problem is they have to beat the 76ers...

I'd rather take one of the earlier QBs in the 1st round, but if I had to put money on one later round guy being able to do that, I guess I'd put it on Rattler. He might go in the 3rd though....

  • If we're talking sub package linebackers, let me throw Edefuan Ulofoshio out there. Ran a 4.56. Good in coverage. Has pretty good tape. Just maybe not going to be a 3 down guy. He's projected in the 5th. I'm with you guys on Jackson. He could be a good one and a steal....

You also have to consider what the offense is doing schematically, too. I think it's something that warrants consideration with him, certainly. I've seen some inconsistency with his accuracy on intermediate throws. We can watch the Michigan game together, and maybe you can give me some of your thoughts....

Hell yeah, man. Everybody sees themselves weird in some capacity. Some accept and embrace that. I think he's all about the atmosphere, all about the party, you know? Lot of wisdom in that. I run some of the stuff I write by him from time to time, just to see how bad it sucks, right? I don't fancy myself...

Old buddy of mine is in a band like that now. He's been in just about every type of band you can think of, but he loves playing stuff like that....

I think he's an ideal fit for them, and it's worth considering the difference between paying less for him and trading up from 11 for McCarthy. Few reasons. First, he's accustomed to functioning in a pass heavy offense, which O'Connell is notorious for, while McCarthy is not. Second, he gets the ball...

Some guys out there say wild stuff. Not all of them. There are really good ones, I think. I get why someone would say he's a one read QB, but I also disagree. You don't see a ton of pure progression in Oregon's offense, so often times one read can essentially get him from the front side to the backside...

  • Running low 4.3's at that size is extremely unique. It's hard to wrap your head around how freakish that is. So you know he's got the big play, and he has the frame to handle a workload. Louisville used him as more of a closer, so he was more in a Mark Ingram role to Jordan's Kamara role. He catches...

  • Good game, guys. If your role players can continue shooting it with any consistency, I don't know who beats you in a series. It won't be that good most nights, but we've seen what they can do when a few guys get hot. They'll burn the place down....

  • It's good to see you back, mozzer.

If I might make a case for Bowers, in comparison to Pitts...I'd say Pitts had a few things working against him.

1 Not a good run blocker.
2 He had the MCL injury.
    3 QB play.
4 Arthur Smith, which also gets into number one....

  • Yeah, I mocked him to us a few times. I'm definitely not saying he wouldn't have been a good pick for us. And I definitely overvalued certain things about other corners that didn't translate. Mainly, lack of speed, and the exact thing that Woolen does well that a guy I was high on didn't end up doing...

  • A lot of the time, but not all the time, it comes down to scheme fit. Two things that always translate though are size and speed. That's why Riq Woolen got so much buzz a couple years ago. The thing I was saying going into that draft though, was that Riq isn't really a great cover guy. He's really stiff,...
