Hard to argue with wins since that is the ultimate metric in this league. I’ll grant you all that being in this position, with meaningful games in December, is better than I thought would happen.

The Broncos played well yesterday. And coming back from his business decision, I have to...

You too. I think the truth is at the confluence of debate and opinion so I appreciate the fact that in these boards we all get to voice our thoughts and have a hearty discussion....

Wow. Your post actually sounds much more critical of other’s posts than the one you are referencing. I believe he is simply pointing out that those interceptions were critical errors that lost games for us. To say that is a shot at someone is a reach.

Incidentally, I find it amusing that...

  • Totally agree. The long and the short of it is that Denver isn’t just bad, they are pathetically bad. They are “let’s mock their quarterback on national news” bad. So you can argue Surtain all you want, but the evidence that one decent corner is (or is not) a building block for a team is on...

I heard some discussion on The Fan today making sense of this. If Fangio benches Teddy and starts Lock, one of two things can happen:

    1) Lock plays miserably and everyone says it was a bad move and Fangio gets fired.

    2) Lock balls out and plays well, everyone blames Fangio...

If you are comparing Lock to Peyton Manning, then…. just….bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha….

Manning was starting from day one as a rookie, had zero time to adjust like Lock did and clearly this number is driven by his rookie year. Comparing both of their second years Lock had a higher interception...

Maybe you are right. He certainly looked better his rookie season and has looked like trash since. However, it’s also possible that after those games his rookie year, teams then had film on him and could game plan him and he’s just not good enough to progress beyond that.

    You see this...

Agree it’s unlikely. On the other hand, could fire him see how Donatello does as d coordinator and promote Munchak to interim head coach to see how he does. If he shines they might consider going that route.

I don’t think the Broncos are going to be high on the list for premium coaching...

Oh, the belly at quarterback would be enough to save this season for me. I would tune in to every snap, watch every press conference, read every article. That would be fun....

Yep. I mean I’ll admit I have no future as a hired NFL professional in any capacity as I have zero qualifications (although that would be fun) but it doesn’t seem like rocket science to conclude it was faulty in the approach that the most important position in the NFL is the quarterback so we’ll...

Maybe. I know you and I have disagreed on this before. To be clear, I agree Shurmer should have been on his way out of town in the off season. On the other hand…

Daniel Jones did okay under him. And in the end you can’t make chicken soup out of chicken poop. And poop is all Shurmer...

Missing the point. Question is, would you rather have rolled with Jones or Fields to see what you got or go the route we did with Teddy? I know my preference and who I think had a bigger upside....

I’m kind of surprised at the outrage here. Did you all think we had something other than a back up quarterback in Teddy B? His starting in Denver was less about him and more about the failure of Drew Lock to develop and progress (wherever you put the blame there, it was a lack of progression from...

I agree with you on Paton. I think he’s done some positive things, it’s way too early to judge and, as you know but perhaps disagree with, I think he had nothing to do with our decision to pass on a quarterback at 9 this past draft.

I see your reasoning and I guess, to me, it sounds...

I understand your point. I think it’s not as simple as defending not taking a player because they didn’t feel they were the right player. Seven years. They’ve had seven years to figure this out. It’s not just one draft, one off season. One pick. It’s seven years. That’s not a decision, it’s...

This is what I find perplexing. I’m not going to say that I know for a fact that Justin Fields is the next hall of fame QB, and sure, there are some struggles but there’s also signs there of promise and viewing it through the rookie learning curve, how can you not be a little intrigued?

I think the two camps that you are both coming from, which I think reflects where a lot of people are, both could make some concessions.

Teddy has been better than the check down Teddy that was forecasted when he first came here. In fact he has been quite effective at times stretching...

replied to Broncos Won Again Today!!!!
I have been pretty vocal about my concerns about this team, and it’s not like those magically go away, but all I can say after a day like today, going into a 6-1 team, in their house, after trading Von, with multiple people out…. is that was the most awesome and enjoyable win to watch in a long...
