Lawrence seems to have lost some of his lustre, reports are that several teams have Wilson over Lawrence as QB1. Tim Jenkins has Wilson at QB1, Lawrence at QB2 and Jones at QB3.
But this isn't unprecedented, some people liked Ryan Leaf over Peyton Manning, and some liked RGIII over Andrew...

That dumbs down a lot of what Fangio does. It's not really zone, it's a read coverage that matches routes. That's why the corners play off, because they're reading the route combinations to pick up players man to man.
In the same way that zone blocking on the o-line is 2 blockers for 2...

Personally I think they should have gone with a LA Angels like Toronto Raptors of Tampa for the season. But they didn't ask me.
And me explaining Devlin wasn't cause I didn't think you'd know who he was, cause if you watch games you know who he is. It was more just pointing out that if...

Not to poke the bear over it, but TSN (a team owner) actually speculates they might be in better position to acquire a bought out player in the coming weeks because they're playing in Tampa.

It was Matt Devlin the team's play by play broadcaster who is employed by the team and broadcasts the games on both TSN and Sportsnet who together own 75% of MLSE between the two of them. He was having fun with it, in a couple of games I've watched this year.
It's not that big of a deal....

Players wanted to be in Denver to be in Denver to play for Fox/Elway. Remember that the franchise (McDaniels) had completely destroyed the relationship with Champ Bailey, one of the first things Elway did when he was hired was to fix that relationship and re-sign Champ. They also completely revitalized...

But if he tells them he's not going to play for them (reportedly he hasn't even tried to talk to the Texans) then it should clear things up, and it would make sense for them to maximize the return this year.
It makes sense for both sides for Watson to have a Zoom meeting with Cal McNair...

According to PFT Chicago never even made an offer for him. the only interested team was Indy. Which makes sense, if Wentz is going to get it turned around it'll be under the coach who he had his most success with....

Rumors are (or were at the time) that Manning had the exact structure of the contract he wanted to sign laid out ahead of time, and he actually had to talk the Broncos into putting in provisions to protect them in case he wasn't healthy. The example being he needed to pass a physical on his neck every...

There was a report earlier this week (I think it was from Mike Klis but can't remember) that said Lock has heard everything but isn't taking it personally because he understands it's a business and he hasn't played well enough. And that he's working hard in the offseason to improve so he can win the...

Look no further than the Broncos during the time your beloved Tebow was here. In 2010 the team was an absolute mess, no leadership anywhere and a coach who seemed to be starting fires everywhere (started in 2009 carried over to 2010) even when Tebow played the final few games that year they were still...

But two of those picks gave their teams 12+ years of service. It's a coincidence not a correlation. There's easier line to be drawn to the playoff teams and first round picks being correlated (I don't necessarily believe that one either).
And again I'll respond to your original point...

I'd give willingly give up 4 premium picks (1st and second round) with my preference being 2021 first, 2022 first and second and the 2023 conditional second, with that second bumping up to a first if conditions are met, such as Denver winning a playoff game in the next two years. I'd also add in Chubb...

But not all of those high draft picks were exactly like the others. Yes Atlanta had a high 1st round draft pick QB and yes they finished last in their division, but you left out that this was season 13 for him, and he's played some very good football for them in that time, getting them to a Super Bowl....

In theory it would make sense to draft multiple players at a position to try and improve the odds of finding a success, but in practicality it's not workable. The reason being that you have 7 draft picks each year (could be higher or lower depending on trades and compensation etc. but everyone starts...

That Williams guy does look good. He's got good size, and they're saying he could be a 3 down back. Looks like he's decent at making guys miss and pushing people around, as well.[/QUOTE]
He's a complete back, he can run between the tackles, to the edge, over people through people, he can...

Good to see you've come around. When I started a thread on him earlier (probably around the game where UNC ran for 554 yards against Miami) I believe you said that we didn't need an RB. Williams is going to be special. Carolina had 4 players sit out the Orange Bowl, if the other 3 had stayed out...

While Manning had struggled the second half of 2014, I 100% believe that the reason the drop-off was so significant in 2015 was that they switched offences. In the previous offense he knew it so inside and out that he just had to look at the D and he knew exactly where all of his receivers were going...

I would put it forward as an alternative to the NCAA. 12 game season plus 1-2 playoff games. Wouldn't be anymore wear and tear than playing college football. It would just allow the NFL to train certain positions (QB, OL) to play the position properly rather than just spread offenses with 1 read or...
