So that's is the excuse this year, what was it last year ? What about the 2 losing seasons before that ?...

In 2012-2014 you could have argued this, but we are slowly getting further and further away from that date, and further removed from having Manning (Elway's greatest signing) being in our corner, which was immediate leverage in any negotiation. Now, other areas, re-signing and retaining talent, no,...

For example ? I am sure there are things he could be doing better, a commitment to the run game for one, but he has arguably one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL, one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL, and expecting anything other than this because we drafted some fast guys was always nai...

Coaching and ownership ? Ownership has nothing to do with Elway being a horrible talent evaluator, and missing high and middle round picks consistently for years. Coaching ? These coaches everyone loves blaming are being put in place by Elway, to coach his bad rosters. The writing is on the wall now,...

I called Jones a 3rd round pick at best, but plenty of people were talking about him in the top tier of the first round, a few around here thought after one good game and a good senior bowl it was a great projection for him. Jones and Lock benefited from coming out in a weak quarterback class in a year...

That is true, however, he did have tendencies that indicate he is comfortable doing certain things, and that is obviously the case evident by his continuation to lean on those tendencies in the NFL. In the case of the point I was making, those are the things he has been comfortable doing in the past,...

Further more Sam, I just seen a statistic that was posted before the Oakland game, and it said Drew Lock had taken the most 20 plus yard passing attempts in the NFL. If true, again, that was his go to at Missouri, and his pet play. So what exactly are we refering to in regards to Shurmur not playing...

That is all well and good to say, it sounds good and it sounds right, but what are his strengths on the NFL gridiron ? At Missouri he relied on the deep ball and played in an offense with a tonne of quick screens, there was not much in between really, and his tape was pretty bipolar with a heap of ugly....

Has Risners play regressed though ? What kind of analysis are we doing ? I see much of the same from him. He is an inconsistent player who if he gets his hands on you with a steady base can do his job, but isn't overly gifted in any one area. He talks a nice game and that got the fans onside initially,...

It's been that way for a while, what relevant players have we managed to bring in during free agency periods over the last several years ? We have overpaid for the likes of Gordon and James, average players in the first place, but we have been an undesirable location since Manning left. There is zero...

Don't worry guys, we will win a couple meaningless game towards the end of the year, the fan base will overreact, Elway will point at this "improvement", and then refuse to address problem areas of the team again in the off-season. Ignorance and losing is now Broncos football. At least Colin...

I am talking about players Elway strictly drafted and then re-signed them here. I am not saying I know the answer either, but my count is 4 players, Von Miller, Virgil Green, Derek Wolfe, and Jeff Huerman....

Correct. I have a more difficult one. How many Elway drafted players during his tenure have signed multi-year contract extensions here after their rookie deal ?...

Weren't you here on draft day ? That was a genius move which will make the offense so explosive, our offensive line is fine and receivers help you score points, was a no-brainer to the folk around here....

Been time for a while in my opinion, but it won't happen. Elway achieved great heights early, and we could have the argument about Manning being the ultimate masking agent for Elway's always existent inability to draft, but now after building a perennial loser, I would say the conversation at least...

  • How often do teams need to get it wrong to prove that retread, under-performing quarterbacks are exactly what they are, and always will be? Foles, Cousins, Garapollo, etc. No thank you. You build around a young quarterback and hope they develop into a competent option, and if not, you draft again, which...

The disappointing thing with Lock this year is his lack of improvement. Last year despite him being pretty mediocre, nothing at all to write home about, he at least avoided negative plays and showed some maturity. This year he just doesn't look like he knows what he is doing, and he is wildly inaccurate....
