Agreed. I have no problem with reporting about who has interviewed where, and who has requested interviews with whom. But anything about who has the inside track or who is the favorite is just clickbait masquerading as analysis....

This take is utterly mindboggling to me. Most of what you saw in the Broncos offense this year was a result of Wilson imposing his will on the Broncos. The difference between Wilson and Manning imposing their wills was in what they imposed their wills to accomplish.

It would be an interesting situation. If Sean Payton is interested in the Denver job, then it's in his own best interest for the Broncos to give up as little draft capital as possible. Would the Saints be willing to do the deal for a 2023 1st round pick? Would Payton be OK with that?

That's the unintended consequence of the Rooney Rule. A minority candidate for a head coaching job can never be sure if an interview for a position is legit, or if it's checking a box. Unless he's the second or third minority candidate to be offered an interview....
