Nope a little before my time. I know that both were really fierce, seems Dobler had a notorious mean streak. I loved Dick Enberg and Merlin Olsen on NBC. That reminds me of my childhood.
I am not to young to remember the "Hogs" from D.C. It felt like they ran for 500 yds against us in...

Yep, Dan Dierdorf, John Madden and the late Merlin Olsen used to be very complimentary of O-lineman. It is really rare these days....

If Bolles gets a Pro Bowl nod I owe this board a huge "I was wrong about Bolles". I also have to give some credit to a few play calls using Bolles's and Risner's strengths. Bolles has always been a good in space run blocker but he was particularly good in the Miami game....

replied to How About That Defense
Well, Hill is a capable QB and showed a lot more than I expected. Denver needs to make him beat us through the air first. Denver's Defense did not give up a lot of wide open looks to Miami. We can help our Def out with no turnovers and somehow establishing a run game too....

What I liked about this win was the resiliency that Lock, and the rest of the team showed when they didn't get the start they had hoped for. I have been very critical of Lock. He made so bad throws and great throws, and he doesn't get so overwhelmed after a bad throw that he can't get right back in...

I have thrown plenty of Shade on Drew Lock yesterday. There are plays where you say man we haven't had a guy that threw a pass that good since Manning. There are also times when he just has to know that isn't a good decision in pro football. You can throw some guys open but not into triple coverage...

Okay I will admit, comparing Elway to Lock sort of a moot point because the talent difference is obvious and the expectation factor of a 1 overall as opposed to a 2nd rounder is not the same. I mean I am spoiled. Denver has had 1 year in the last 30 were they had a realistic chance of a 1 overall...

Maybe not the right thread, I am huge fan of Risner, and yep Risner should be getting a lot of heat. His play definitely has digressed....

True, and if that continues it won't matter quarters 1-3 what happens because we should lose out and you have to make a change, or at least I think you make a change. I also am not on the Denver Broncos payroll so my opinions mean squat....

Sure we are. I think Lock can play better than last week. But let me be exceedingly clear, Lock has not shown me anything that says long term solution yet. If we lose out, which is entirely possible, Elway and company have to either get out or start over and yes move up and get a better option at...

True, Of course he dropped a TD pass. Callahan played very well in this game too. As did our Place kicker....

    replied to Fire Pat Shurmur
Daniel Jones has 8TD and 9INT there are actually a lot of similarities so far. Shurmur has not helped out Lock at all. I will give everyone that. Deep in our own territory 3 and 1 you call whatever it was they couldn't block at all, when we were running it at least somewhat effectively. The Raiders...

The sun will come up in Denver and be a nice fall day. We also get a chance next week to to see the best rookie QB in the NFL right now.

I am trying to look at this optimistically an practically too. Lock played terrible yesterday that is fact. Optimistically, I believe he was hurt and that may make a difference. Practically, I am not convinced 100% healthy Lock is good enough to get us back to playoff contention, not just this year...

I respect the way you stick to your opinions I don't always agree but hey this America and you always want what gets Denver wins. Fields is really, really, really good. Now, Rutgers and Nebraska, I am a fan and criticize them when it is justified, are not great tests but Penn State is. Getting Fields,...

Chubb is a Pro Bowler minus the knee injury, I really believe that. Shaq Barrett improved a ton in TB and his D-Coordinator rushes him a ton.

When healthy, Jeudy/Hamler better than Royal. Noah Fant when healthy, is better than Scheffler. Lock is a harder worker, takes more ownership in need to improve, and a better leader than Cutler. Cutler had more talent but got in his own way too often, he threw more stupid interceptions than Lock too....

  • I see Kliss just reported Albert O tore his ACL. We just can't catch a break this year with injuries. Also I had no problem with onside kick we actually overcame their good field position both times.
