replied to Russell Wilson to Denver
Last year coming in he definitely looked 'fat and happy' when he got to Denver, like he was content and thought he could just pick up where he left off.

Last year had to have humbled him...whether or not he uses it to self improve remains to be seen. But him looking a little leaner is good...

I figure either 8-9 or 9-8. As good a coach as Payton is, this roster is not as good as some make it out to be. And we have major questions at center, safety, cornerback and running back at the moment. Throw in key starters like Bolles, Javonte and Patrick coming off injuries, as well as a serious lack...

Per NFL twitter, week 1 is Lions vs Chiefs in the opener and Bills vs Jets on MNF....

My predcition for the opener is a Sunday afternoon home game against Cleveland.

Two teams who acquired a big name QB last year and both have questions about if they'll end up being worth what they traded for. It's a storyline matchup that isn't as big as others, but it could draw some ...

Gotta disagree. As good a coach as Payton is, the Broncos need to earn respect rather than just have it given because of an acquisition (Russ, Payton).

The league gave the Broncos the spotlight several times last year and the Broncos embarrassed themselves, us fans and the league.

It won't take long into the season to once again see what a liability he is, if he's playing a significant amount.

And I just laugh about him being a leader and example for the younger players. I guess some have forgotten him just standing there, watch Ekler bulldoze into the endzone last...

Dumb move. Waste of time and cap space. Liability against the pass. Ok in run support. No one else wanted him. Only reason he is back is because there is no one they have faith in to be the other starting safety, especially with Sterns coming off an injury. Sad we are relying on a 35 year old washed...

  • Exactly. An NBA Finals Championship and Finals MVP would be better any ways.

  • Boy, I was way off. Tucker went undrafted. Duncan went way later. Dexter and Stromberg went closer to where I projected. And Bennett, Horton, and Wicks went earlier than I expected.

Oh well, that's one reason why I love the draft....unpredictable.

Just like with Mims and the WR's....our LB depth is flimsy.

Jewell is injury prone. Browning is injury prone. Singleton is just not good. Griffith is coming off an injury plagued season.

Like Mims, I think they were surprised he was available in the 60's.

    This...

Jeudy has missed games each of the last 2 years.

Sutton tore his ACL in 2020. Hamler tore his ACL in 2021. Patrick tore his ACL last year.

    Hamler is injury prone.

Our WR depth looks good on paper, but in reality, it is flimsy. No way can we rely on them staying...

We were. We had Lock on 2020 and.2021 and all our picks. What did that get us? Nothing. We were still a losing organization. Lock stinks.

We were a losing organization since 2017 with all our picks. Picks mean nothing if you draft busts and hire bad head coaches and keep drafting bad QB's...

  • Last 3 drafts (2021, 2022, and 2023- 24 total picks)

    9 DB's (CB & S)

    0 OT, 3 IOL

And what's sad is we have questions at number 2 outside CB and the other starting safety position, as well as lack of quality DB depth despite using so many picks.

Center Alex Forsyth. Ok, I like it. At least it's someone to compete.

Broncos get TE Adam Trautman as part if the trade. Looking to where they dropped to. I think its a 7th round pick.
