Whether McManus believes he can make those kicks or not isn’t the point, he’s only made 1 from 60+ in his career and his kickoffs when away from Denver show that his leg isn’t as strong as he believes. The coaching staff shouldn’t have put him out there for those kicks regardless of whether...

Realistically McManus kicked 89% last season. 2 of the misses were from 63 and 64 yards and 2 were blocked. That’s half of his misses right there.
McManus’s leg strength has been greatly exaggerated, his range in game isn’t really 60+ like he’s fooled every coaching staff into...

May seem a bit odd to say but I don’t think you’re wrong on Malone. I don’t think he’s done a good job at developing young players and even though we have Jokic and Murray blossoming, I think you can make the argument that they would develop themselves regardless of the coach as 1 is proving...

We’re doing that thing where we take entirely too long to get into our offense...

Didn’t think we’d get it all back in 8 minutes in the 3rd but the Lakers look like they forgot there was a 2nd half to play while we’ve upped the intensity. This is going to be an exciting finish. I don’t expect LeBron to stay this passive the rest of the game and he’s going to have to put...

Refs inserting themselves big time to stop the momentum we started to gather. Gordon picking up LeBron full court is a must, KCP starting to show more energy on defense as well. Coming back in the 2nd half won’t be easy, but it’s going to have to start with defense and attacking in transition....

I just can’t see White’s value being that high, also with no QB on their roster they would lose Jeudy anyway once his contract is up. And as good as White can be, he has his own inconsistencies so giving him the deal he’s looking for would be a huge gamble. I’d go the cheaper route and see...

I’ve been ragging on him all season but I have to credit where it’s due, Jeff Green had some phenomenal minutes in that 2nd half. Idk if Malone forgot to sub in Gordon again at the end but Green stepped up there

Hopefully that extra time on the bench allowed Jokic to gather himself for a tough finish. KCP, Brown, and MPJ all stepped up to help keep us ahead. Unfortunate that we couldn’t build on the lead, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Jokic and Gordon are the only 2 that haven’t carried the offense...

He looks gassed to me. He’s just been uncharacteristically short all night and he hasn’t been pushing the pace as much or running off screens like he was in Denver. I’m hoping he catches a jolt of energy before this game is over because even though we’re up it just feels like we’re just...

Blew the lead there in the 2nd. Murray is obviously keeping us up and in this game. Hopefully Jokic finds some lift on his shot this 2nd half because someone else is going to have to step up to stop them from loading up on Murray. Even if it’s KCP stepping up, we need someone else....

Great first quarter, that early punch never came but we can’t relax and have to expect it to come at any time in this game. They’re already starting to eat into the lead because these are the Jeff Green minutes...

Got to weather the early punch here and keep grinding through...

It wasn’t always pretty but we managed to keep our home court advantage. That’s 2 games now where it looks like the Lakers ran out of gas, this game a bit earlier than the first. We won’t have the altitude in games 3 and 4 but with game 3 on Saturday instead of Sunday and having to travel back...

The lakers should have about that many, I do think the block on MPJ was a charge though as Davis lowered his shoulder and drove through. Yet MPJ was called for a charge because his knee knocked into the defender as he went around him. D-Lo also got that stupid call where he leaned into the defender...

Someone needs to step up and take this Hachimura matchup personally. If only Green could get himself in foul trouble but he’s never close enough to his assignment...

One other adjustment I failed to mention that I think we’ll probably see tonight, keep Gordon in the dunker spot because LeBron was getting between Gordon and the basket to help cover for AD roaming. By doing this, he left MPJ wide open in the corner with no way of getting through a Gordon screen....

As much as I don’t want to say it, I think conditioning was an issue last night. He was beating Davis up and down the court the entire first half, but that 2nd half he wasn’t pushing the pace. It didn’t hurt too much in the 3rd because Murray and KCP were cooking but it definitely became an...

Jokic historically has been slowed by having smaller guys on him while the big lurks around the rim. The 76ers did this in the regular season with PJ Tucker and found success. The timberwolves tried it (although it didn’t quite work well) with Kyle Anderson. I remember the trailblazers doing it...
