He didn't play against Oakland, and also didn't play vs. San Diego...
It's usually not a good sign if your first round pick from a couple of years ago is inactive without a reported injury...

I do believe the reason that was posted on the website was that we were going up against larger OL. Doesn't really explain why he was inactive against Oakland though, considering they run the same ZBS with a smaller O line. -_-
Actually.....I think it was because Oakland was supposed to do alot of running, and that's not exactly his strength.
Well I know that he was inactive vs. Oakland because we were expecting a heavy dose of rushes from the Raiders...but I posted this a week ago:

In this forum, Jarvis fully intended to play this game, but wasn't allowed to...so I'm just wondering if there's something more to this story?
I think Jarvis is a lost cause. There are much smaller DEs that play and are great. I am not sure what the deal is. Most teams that draft DL in the first round expect immediate playing time or at least within the first year. Teams don't make first round picks and never dress the guy for no reason. Something is not right there.
that's exactly what I'm wondering man...
he isnt injured, and all this BS of him being inactive solely because he's a pass rusher doesn't sit well with me. We can't claim him a bust, because he hasn't played a whole lot, but maybe he's a lost cause in Denver...
His ultimate test will come next Sunday vs. New Orleans...a pass happy offense who isn't really known for their ground attack...if he's inactive again...then that might signal that he's headed out the door really soon
The problem is the guy is 6'6 and ways 250lbs.Somebody that tall has a higher center of gravity which means you better way 275 or so so you dont get pushed around by OL.Unfortunately Moss says he cant put weight on which is scary.Maybe we can trade him to a team that can use him as a passrushing LB in a 3-4.I think his days with The Broncos are numbered.
...sigh :coffee:
Might as well sit him for the rest of the season if the Broncos are so scared of teams running on us all the way to the end zone.
Oakland has a good rushing attack
San Diego has a good rushing attack
Kansas City still has Larry Johnson...
How in the hell is he supposed to grow as a player if he doesn't get any PT? Practice?
the only time he looked really good was in that bcs championship game where the offensive line kept letting him through untouched. if nfl teams would do that for him, he would start to contribute
