is this supposed to be smack? because that isn't even close to true. the chargers were named after the same thing the broncos were named after.

well to be honest i don't know for sure but i always assumed it was named after the medieval war horse "charger" since it seems to be in the original logo.

Some say they got it from a business of the team's original owner, Barron Hilton, who owned the Carte Blanche credit card company and who, by the way, was the second son of Conrad Hilton, founder of Hilton Hotels. Credit card were new then and it helped promote them. If true it sure worked.(Note there are other theories as well) war horse, or USC fan cheer" Charge".

Sigh, now they will change the name from Chargers to "Run Away-ers"

Short term, this might make some sense, but long term...? Well, hasn't LA already proved to have as many, if not more, fickle and fair-weather fans than SD and less than worthy to host a team after letting two go?

It's a shame to see them go out the way they are.

good point, it kind of feels like the chargers fart in SD's general direction.

wait a minute... you're telling me that the Broncos might not be the only team named after a type of horse in our division??? I'm not sure what to do with this information, or if I should do anything with it at all.
