Just watch it'll be Dre' Bly...he'll give up some big yardage, and cause some interference calls that will get all the bandwagon fans riled up.

My prediction for a "Dre' Bly's gotta go" thread? Week 6.

DJ will be given a break because he's been home grown

Cutler, when he fails to meet the lofty expectations of must people on here who assume we are okay at QB when for all we know he sucks. He is still highly unproven and inexperienced. His success is far from the lock most people on here would have you believe.

I don't like the idea of trying to single out a player as a scapegoat before the regular season has even started.
Let me clarify things, the purpose of this thread is NOT to single out a scapegoat before the season begins. I know it is hard to tell but elements of my first post were said with tongue in cheek. I don't really believe that we are obligated to shift all the blame onto one person and I don't really think that we are only always one player away from the Super Bowl.

However, that being said, it's going to happen. Somebody is going to play a bad game followed by a bunch of fans calling for his head. Happens ever year. I figured why not take a guess as to who it's going to be......

    Other- John Lynch

Personally, I think he will have a great year and be an asset. BUT all the talk about him being "too old" and his "lack of run support" in this offseason has him primed to be the perfect scapegoat IMO. I really hope that doesn't happen because I think he is an asset to this team. The defense will really need his veteran presence in addition to his play making abilities this year.

I'll blame it on the cohesiveness of the team. and the new system. i like the system we just need to get it down and execute

I guess you don't remember Eddie Kennison's blast a couple years ago. It was before that game where Portis ran for like 220 and 5 TDs. I believe it was "The heavyweight belt" game.

Agreed, it is going to happen. If a player has a horrible game, I want to see him come out and redeem himself in the next game before I start calling for his head. My thoughts on mistakes are
    Once, it's an accident
    Twice, it's a coincidence
    Third time, it's a habit
The 3 time mistake players are my scapegoat.
