lol Dumervil ranked 27th despite the fact that he ranked 3rd in the AFC with 12.5 sacks. tied for 5th in the entire NFL

He may end up being a PRS.

Id rank him higher then 27, but a lot of sacks does not translate to top. With his run stopping weakness I'd say maybe 15- 20? A PRS would be good for him. Keep him rested to terrorize the QBs out there!

DE's aren't exactly expected to stop the run with that much greatness. they are pass rush specialist. of course it's great to have one that is, but its not like its a pressing concern. thats what the tackles and LBs are for

I think Sheff is ranked to low. If healthy he will easily be a top 10 TE if not top 5.

    Top 5?

    Tony Gonzalez
    Antonio Gates
    Jason Witten
    Kellen Winslow
    Dallas Clark
    Chris Cooley
    Todd Heap (if healthy)
    Heath Miller

Tell me who you would take out of those 8, much less top 5. And there are still others like Zach Miller, Owen Daniels, and Jeremy Shockey who I would probably put above him as well.

It's a good thing Jay Cutler was a proven winner in college. Oh wait, nevermind.

I think top 5 a possibility , a lot of factors going into it. But I will break it down on what I feel could happen: If healthy He and Marshall are Cutlers favorite targets. He only really played in 9 games ( as he played in more but was not healthy and missed lots of time if not the whole game in the other 7)and still put up decent numbers for a TE. Based on the strength of schedule of the passing game VS last year teams, Denver has the easiest top to bottom passing schedule this year. Tougher towards the beginning and easier the second half. If Cutler keeps progressing as many feel he will and have his 1st break out year. Sheff will be in the mix of it all. Sheff could easily be second in targets and receptions. He is the clear inside the 10 passing target when in the game. If playing all 16 games I could totally see him put up receptions and TDs to the top TEs you mentioned. I think top 5 is a stretch but I could also see it happen. His health concerns me, but if healthy and plays all 16 I think there will be big numbers from him. Top 10 is a certainty and top 5 a possibility. Other than Winslow, Gates and Gonzalez who are with out a doubt top 5, history shows top 5 to 8 TE fluctuate year to year. This of course is my opinion and right now have him ranked at 8.

    Kmart about your Chefs sig.

Hmm, Cutler played against the Chef's twice last year - right. Did he and the Broncos not go 2-0 against the Chefs?

I tell you I love Elway! He was my hero growing up. I loved the way he threw the ball with velocity! I love that in a QB. This is why I am a Cutlerfan!!

ok heres what i think, without oranged colored glasses

cutler: 6 i don't see anyone ahead other then the usual manning brady palmer, romo, and i'll leave an extra slot for someone like big ben or something

scheffler: 18 i think they mgiht be giving him a bit too much credit right now. hes got the talent to be top 10, but to me hes got to prove that he can stay away from injuries. afterall, henry could be a top 10, top 5 guy, but look where he is now

marshall: 6: thats a bit high for now but i personally think hes got more talent then guys like harrison, who at this point is just going off route running and having manning throw to him

nalen: 10 he may be old but give him a bit more credit. he was maybe the best C in the nfl at one point. plus, at center hes got the leadership, etc that blocking skills can't replace

dumbervil: 17 ok i don't care if hes the worst run stopping DE in the league (which he isn't) those sacks should be able to get him in at least in the top 20

robertson:15 not an expert on him obviously since hes been on the jets, but from what i heard then thats about right, maybe bump him up a little

D.J. 7 ok 14 is way too low to me. even given the fact that he moves alot theirs not many OLBs i'd take over him. maybe guys like merriman or briggs but not very many. if he'd stayed at one postition for his career then he could be one of the best right now.

champ bailey: i don't agree with that. champ is NOT the #1 CB in the league right now. far from it. its more like this: #1 CB ever!!!

bly: 12 i still think hes got what it takes to be a top 15 or even top 10. yeah he had a bad year last year but still, i'd take him over alot of guys
disclaimer: if the above post appears to contain outrageously illogical content, ITS PROBABLY SARCASM

Wow, I cant see how he finishes out of the top 10. The last 8 games he was the 5th ranked TE. Cant see how he finishes worse than he did last year (11 in my ranking pts). When I rank players I rank based on playing in all 16 games for all players. There is no way to tell who is or is not going to be hurt durring the course of a season dispite injury history. How do you rank? I rank by Rec, TD's and yds combined. Playing all 16 games there is no way he finishes 18. I understand you put him there with the injury history. How do you rank him if you feel he playes all 16? Just curious.
