    Crap!

    How did I forget this????

I'm letting myself slip, I suppose, or maybe it's a reflection of how "robust" my life has been lately.

But, it's all good. Much thanks, AZ et al. It's good to still be here (even though I'm not that much anymore).

Left Thursday night for another weekend in the woods. Usually I have blips of connectivity up there, and I had planned to bump this on Saturday. Unfortunately, my cell phone battery had other plans, so I was like...

    Too soon?

I love this thread. More sweet than bitter, but definitely bittersweet. I've always appreciated everyone here. Much love and thanks to you all!

I finally (and TRULY) understand that unsettled look on a girl's father's face when I would pick her up for a date. It's a completely different world now, but some things never change.

Full circle, karma - call it what you will, but the chickens have definitely come home to roost at the Groan Family Farm. It could be worse, and they're great kids becoming fine upstanding women before my eyes, but oh man - what a ride!!!

    Still lurking...

My daughter is 12 and is starting to look like a young woman. I still haven’t processed how to handle guys older than her staring, aside from staring at them.
