    I can't believe how nice it was today......tuesday the wind is supposed to howl.....40 mph sustained with gusts to 55.

    NWS in Amarillo updated the Tuesday forecast.......gusts to 65 mph now......

    suppose to snow at a rate of 4 inches per hour tonight here. 2ft+ predicted on top of half a foot this after noon and underneath a couple of inches tomorrow...

    care to trade wind for snow saddle?

    * WHEN...From noon to 9 PM CST Tuesday.

    * IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel will be difficult especially for high profile vehicles. Blowing dust with reduced visibilities will be possible.

    * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...North to south travel will be the most difficult given the very strong cross winds. Secure holiday decorations and any outdoor furniture, as these winds will be strong enough to jar them loose, or blow them over.

    ALL OF THE TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES...

    The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a Fire Weather Watch for strong winds and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Tuesday morning through Tuesday afternoon.

    * Affected counties in Oklahoma, Cimarron, Texas and Beaver. In Texas: Dallam, Sherman, Hansford, Ochiltree, Lipscomb, Hartley, Moore, Hutchinson, Roberts,
    Hemphill, Oldham, Potter, Carson, Gray, Wheeler, Deaf Smith, Randall, Armstrong, Donley, Collingsworth and Palo Duro Canyon.

    * 20 Foot Winds...Southwest to west winds 25 to 35 mph or 30 to 40 mph with gusts of 45 to 55 mph.

    * Relative Humidity...Minimum afternoon humidities of 17 to 26 percent.

    * Red Flag Threat Index...2 to 4.

    * Timing...Critical fire weather conditions beginning around 11 AM Tuesday and ending around 6 PM Tuesday evening.

    Quite warmish for this part of the world. Messy, but above average temps. I'll take it!

    Hardly any snow, even though we've had a few shots of it.

    Currently in Follett TX we have sustained winds of 37 mph with gusts to 45+
