    UDFA WR Travis Shelton

Just a little tidbit I just saw.

2507 yards of kickoff returns for an average of 25.8 with 4 TDs for his career.

Last year he had 720 yards averaging 31 yards/return which ranks him #1 in the country on return average. He only had 23 returns but still a nice average.

He might make the team as a return specialist alone.

wow...haha you'd think someone would catch on to that a bit sooner. looks like we'll have a better returner then jackson now.

Many say his ability is like Dante Hall he isnt an elite receiver but an elite return man. We just need to block better on special teams thats a problem weve had on the return.

Found a good video with him catching a touchdown pass and returning a kick for a TD! Definitely has those short, returner style legs!

    Rest in peace, Darrent.

Hey guys, how's it goin? My name is Jeff. I'm a Temple fan and student. I tried to sign up for another Broncos forum, but for whatever reason, I never got the email confirmation for either of the email addresses I tried. Anyway, I just want to let you guys know what a great player you have in Travis Shelton.

A couple things you didnt mention or might not know:

Travis lead the NCAA in all purpose yards in 2007, but didnt play in enough games to qualify

Travis is Devin Hester's cousin. He is just as quick, if not quicker than Hester, and we all know how quick and electrifying Hester is.

Travis has 4.2-4.3 speed. He has a picture on his Facebook page of him next to a sign signifying him running a 4.17 40. He is the fastest person I have ever seen.

Travis can become a solid 3rd or 4th receiver. For whatever reason, we never fully incorporated him into our passing game, so he's a little raw in the receiving department.

Travis is a great guy, and truly appreciates this opportunity. He's going to work extremely hard, because that's all he knows. He's really excited.

I hope Travis makes the Broncos, because he deserves it, and would be a tremendous addition. I'm also hoping to live in Denver after I graduate (my 2nd favorite city behind my home city of Philadelphia), so it would be amazing to watch Travis play in person.

Our D allowed 23 points a game. 21 not counting the Penn State game.

That would be sick if he was the next HESTER!

Man, I am liking a lot of these UFA we've signed.

One thing I do like about Shelton is that there is absolutely next to no footage on him on the internet...makes me beleive he might be a hidden gem.

I could care less if he was useless for anything else except as a returner. Hell, I would not only fill a roster spot with a HESTER 2 type of return specialists...but if he proved it...I would pay him big bucks too!

How many games did the BEARS win because of special teams since Hester has been there? ummmm...that's right almost all of them.

By the way, I think the BEARS are very dumb to take HESTER off special teams with this receiver experiment.

His average was on 23 returns, which isn't a huge number.

Yes he only had 23 returns this year, the highest was around 54, but his career average is still 25 which is very respectable. It looks like his time is around 4.31. I found this...

I spoke with Temple WR/RS Travis Shelton this morning and at Temple's Pro Day yesterday he ran a 4.28 and a 4.34 in the 40-yard dash

But I don't have access to read the rest of the story. Still, he seems very fast with some skill. If he can catch the ball at all he has a shot at making the team. McD was really stressing improving the special teams and this guy might be able to do that relieving Royal and other more star type players from the responsibility.

I think he makes the team solely because of his return skills. I mean he can't be much worse than the guys we had recently, excluding Darrent and Eddie.
