Schein: Kyle Orton Comeback Player of the Year

Kyle Orton is the Comeback Player of the Year
There are some great candidates, ranging from Cedric Benson to Carson Palmer to Mike Sims-Walker.

But this is a boom. Orton has 17 touchdowns against just eight picks. Not too bad for a guy who couldn't beat out Rex Grossman. And Denver's winning. I thought the Jay Cutler deal would set Denver back for years. I need to stay consistent and vote for Orton.

I thought you had to miss a season to get the CPOY award. I could be wrong though.

No not really! If i'm not mistaken, Drew Brees won CPOY when he was with the chargers and he didn't miss the year before, i remember i kept trying to figure out what he came back from? because he wasn't injured and he wasn't all that good IMO the years before he won the award!

Duh. He was benched last year and part of this year, then he came back and went 7-1 when his team was 0-6 before.

    Yes!

Notice how Orton is on the list along with Benson who BOTH played for that career threatening bears line?

Now look at little Cuddles dying out there on that field because of that.

Due to Chris Johnson becoming an even bigger beast then he was the first part of the season. Silly Chefs fan.

My vote would be for Vince Young. Either way, its not an award you want to win. I don't see how Orton could win it. He started last season and went 9-7;. What is he doing this year that makes him 'come back' from anything? Doesn't even make sense.

Didn't Collins have Chris Johnson in the starting line-up as well????? yes... yes was. So is Chris becoming a bigger beast BECAUSE Young is in the line-up? Probably so. SO again, you just made the point for VY to win the award.

Not yet..... I'm not buying that either.

You can't say he's the best after crapping out last year. That doesn't make sense.
