Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I've learned a lot about the events and political climate leading up to and following Lincoln's murder though. One key thing Hanchett does is to thoroughly explain the political motivations from the Confederate perspective. You don't see that very often.

Yeah, it was quite unexpected. I think it was a heart attack, although I could be mistaken.

        "Mission Compromised" by Oliver North

Although written as fiction, this book will take you into the seedy underbelly of America's counter terrorism efforts and why we are losing this war. Ollie tells it from the perspective of someone who's been there and lived to tell about it. The characters draw you in and the plot is breathtaking. I've never read 600 pages so fast!

That's a good book and DVD. If I'm in the car, I like his NFLR show "Movin' the Chains" although I think there's only one chain.

Gone Girl was a good one… I had just finished reading another Gillian Flynn's twisted tales last week, "Dark Places." Very twisted, and would give 5 stars.

Been in the mood for crime thrillers lately I guess. Finished "Sleep Tight" this morning, by Rachel Abbott. I've never heard of her prior to reading "Sleep Tight", but she writes a good thriller as well. The only reason I put it down for a few days was due to a bad sinus headache… other wise it was hard to put down.
