    Top 10 QB's Right Now?

Who are you're top ten QB's in the league?

This came up when i told my friend that i think orton is 8th best... so i decided to make a list to see if i really think he is.

Here is the pool of QB's I will use: Romo, Cutler, Palmer, Ryan, Vick, D. Anderson, Rodgers, E. Manning, P. Manning, Shaun Hill, Flacco, Favre, Freeman, Moore, Rivers, Henne, Orton, Brady, Dixon, Roethlisberger, Bradford, Cassel, Edwards, Brees, Wallace, Delhomme, Alex Smith, Campbell, McNabb, Garrard, Hasselhoff, Schaub, Sanchez, Kolb

    [1]P. Manning
    [2]Brees
    [3]Brady
    [4]Rivers
    [5]Rodgers
    [6]Favre
    [7]Romo
    [8]E. Manning
    [9]Orton
    [10]Palmer/Schaub

I know a lot of people will disagree, and I may adjust it later if I feel its kinda lopsided, but its hard to rank em... You try it lol...

I can easily take favre and eli out of this list... and romo too for that matter..

it's much easier doing a top 5 though

After tonight, Schaub should be in the top three. He had a 500 yard game.

Orton is definitely gaining ground on some of these foolz. 67% completion, 602 yards, 3 TD's 1 INT and averaging 8.9 YPA. That's with Bucky dropping an easy TD today as well.

I think we need to extend this guy more than just one season....

Honestly, right now I'd put Orton ahead of Favre.

How some people have Orton in there without Cutler on the list is crazy. Not only based on career numbers. The fact Cutler has only had one bad season (Orton has some) and in his last 4 games Cutler has gone:

    86/135 (63.7%) 1,198 yards (8.87 YPA) 13 TD's and 2 INT's (118.1 QB Rating)

If you project that over 16 games:

    344/540 (63.7%) 4,792 yards (8.87 YPA) 52 TD's and 8 INT's (118.1 QB Rating)

cutler is having a solid year thus far but he's known to dissappear down the stretch

i'd say schaub's awesome, but still just a shade under rivers/rodgers

favre looks on the decline but you never know with him

brady , also a wildcard, you just don't know with him although even in a down brady year, his numbers are still usually pretty nice

orton's pretty solid but i think e's still chasing all the guys above him aside from cutler, because as stated, cutler's the mvp of september, he's (cutler) stilll got to prove he can make it through an entire season without his production steadily unravelling

brees and peyton still way up there

    eli is very sloppy still

oh and romo is inconsistant but still ends up putting up solid nmbers for a season

big ben is still a pretty clutch qb as far as i know, the fact pitt is 2-0 without him only makes him scarier when he returns, IMO

I had Favre at #3 this offseason, and without Sidney Rice, he's not looking like a top 5 QB, so I left him out of this one. It's too early to tell but we'll see.

Orton IMHO is QB #1 on that just under elite group.
    1. Manning
    2. Brees
    3. Brady
    4. Rivers
    5. Rodgers. These two are very close could interchange but I give the nod to Rivers because he's been doing it longer
    6. Schaub
    7. McNabb always seems like he's the forgotten man. I don't know why
    8. Cutler he's playing great. He's the one guy who could easily shoot way up this list or free fall like crazy. He's a wildcard.
    9. Orton he's in the perfect system for him it seems and he appears to be extremely comfortable in it. The strides he's made from year 1 to year 2 have been phenomenal, and he wasn't bad last year.
    10. Ryan I really like this kid.

    Schaub >>>> Palmer by far...

If Houston gave Cincy a call for a trade envolving Schaub and Palmer, Marvin Lewis would have a heart attack.

I omitted Favre on purpose. He doesn't even look like he wants to be out there this season. He looks disinterested and tired.
