I watched the story on E:60... I hate that show cuz it turns players I hate (only because of who he plays for) into players I have lots of respect for...

yeah... i can't hate him though... he's kinda the former king of fresno

David Carr was before him, and Trent Dilfer before him.

But I knew he had a rough ride but i never knew he was living in a car, and pat hill basically saved his athletic career by proposing that plan to get him on track to become eligible... and immediately after he became eligible, Pete Carrol came after him after basically giving up on him a year prior. RM stuck with the people who helped and committed to fresno.

Yeah, he's a great guy from what I seen. I wish him all the success in the world.

unless he's playing the broncos of course..

my love is only deep enough to want HIM to succeed, and not his team

    and ajirotutu of course.

I was cheering for both of them last week.. its too bad ajirotutu did too well..

wow, mom had it tough. I heard bits and pieces in an interview on a local sports talk radio show, but didn't know all that happened to her.

I can relate to being homeless and sleeping in a car....glad those days are long gone.

Wow, makes you think of all the things we take for granted.

Really good read. Hopefully he finds success (Except against us) on sundays.

If he could find me more then 3 fantasy points a week I may take a liking to the guy.

As of now, he's just a Charger who is blowing fantasy match-ups for me

    Good story though.

I'm saddened by all matthews has been in. he's had a tough life. i've never had anything against matthews. i just didn't think he would be able to last in the NFL with his injury problems (so far, he's proved me right) and to be able to get into the NFL playing for your favorite team growing up is just amazing for him.

to Ryan Matthews, but still, go broncos lol
