I would also consider retiring Elams number as well...
I think TD was a regular season MVP too. I believe that #30 should be retired as he was an integral part of the Denver Broncos success, Just my opinion.

I think the problem with retiring TD number is, we have seen multiple RB's after TD succeed in the ZBS. So its difficult to retire his number OR put him in the Hall because of that. But an argument can be made also that Elway could be in the same boat with Marino if he didn't have TD. So it all depends on which angle you see it from.

what about making a rule so to get your number # retired, you most have a reg season MVP or superbowl MVP as a bronco to be considered

The Broncos only have three numbers that have been retired. There are plenty of numbers to go around.

Davis is the Broncos ALL time rushing leader, a Super Bowl MVP, and next to Elway, the only other Bronco to be named league MVP.

In my opinion, I think that's enough to consider retiring #30.

League mvp, SB mvp, One of olnly a couple rb's all time to reach 2000 yards in a single season He may have had a shortened career but what he did do while he was in the league should get his jersey retired and get him in the HOF too IMO. I also think Elams should be retired too he is Denvers all time leading scorer and he holds record for longest fg.
