    Mass Effect 3

I know this might seem early, but it's the current talk on IGN.

So let me give you some insight, first off the game is set/rumored to be release either late 2011 or early 2012, this according to Bioware.

They have been quiet about the game, the only thing known is what we already know.
    1. We can load our character from the first 2 too 2
2.Everything you did in 2 will play a part in 3, and anything from 1 that was left out of 2, will resurface in 3.
    3. Most of the Characters from 1 whom was not in 2 will be in 3, if Shepard died in 2 for you, he is dead in 3, same goes for the rest of the crew.

These are just a few things that we already know, Bioware will have a special annocement at the Spike TV game awards. Which allot of people, including IGN and G4, think it's about Mass Effect. BioWare released a hint of there annocement, but didn't say who the person is or what does it mean.

This same photo was posted on Mass Effects facebook and website.

So with all this said, what are you looking forward too about this game, and what are you hoping they add/take out of the game?

That picture has been getting a lot of speculation as Mass Effect 3, but it's not. Take a close look at the weapon, it doesn't look like any weapon in the Mass Effect universe.

There's also a rumor going around that Bioware is planning a spin-off FPS Mass Effect game, and that same picture had been used in the article I read about it. So evidentley, that picture isn't credible at all, and should just be ignored until something is actually announced.

That being said, I really hope they bring planet exploration back. It wasn't in Mass Effect 2, I actually liked it in Mass Effect 1. Also make the planets bigger, with more areas to explore. I couldn't believe how limited it was on the Citadel and Illium in ME2. Bring those back back, and make them bigger. Also have more for us to do after we beat the game. No ones wants to shell out $15 for DLC just to add more to the game after we've beaten it. Put in tons of planets, tons of quest, and tons of exploration, and we'll have plenty to do after we beat the game.

Also if your Shepard died, you can't import him/her anyways, Bioware confirmed this theirselves a while back.

    Ummm... I stated that.

Actually the weapon looks a little like a mass effect 2 sniper rifle.
The photo is not a shot of gameplay, but a trailer piece, much like the trailers from ME2.

Anyways, I think they should add Earth missions, why have a future game that does not have you at least on Earth once? The closes you get to Earth is the luna VI mission in Mass Effect.

I also forgot to add that, there will not be a Mass Effect FPS.
The series will only be a trilogy, ME3 is the last game with the title Mass Effect.

I know but you said if he's dead in 2 he's dead in 3, which doesn't count because if he's dead in 2, he technically doesn't exist in 3 to begin with, therefore he can't be dead in 3. Lol Whatever

Also that defintley isn't anything close to the snipers in ME2. Those were bigger and way longer than the rifle used in that picture. I don't know I just think that picture was purposely put out just so people can have something to look foward to before they announce the game. That specific weapon looks like the Battle Riffles in Halo.

Yeah in ME1, when you're on the moon, they tease us by putting Earth in sight, and we can't even go on it. And if you read the the description of the other planets in the the soloar system, you can see there's establishments on some of the moons of the Gas Giants. That'd be cool to go on one of those and do a few missions.

I'm not talking about the actually sniper rifle thats in game, I'm talking about game trailer weapon, it's the same graphics they used with the interview/trailer before 2 came out.

3 will bring up Shepard, if you died in 2, 3 will likely have a point at the very beginning about the death, and through out the game, his/her name will come up.

Yeah like Mars, we have Mars colonies, I think we should be able to visit all of the colony planets, if not to do a mission, just to go see whats up.
    Have little side missions.

Also this is something I just remember, in the last DLC for the first game, they added a feature thats in 2.(The private message computer)
How do you find it? the DLC is called Pinnacle Station, in this $5 DLC you do this training session stuff, if you get first in everything, and beat the Admiral's test, he gives you his house. The house contains the computer.

I know what you're saying, I just don't think that picture is accuarte as Mass Effect 3 preview as it was also used to hint to a Mass Effect spin-off game. I'm just going to wait until something is confirmed.

I know what you're saying, I just don't think that picture is accuarte enough as ME3 preview. It's been used to hint to a spin-off game as well, so there's no telling how much that picture is actually telling us about ME3. I'm just going to wait until something is confirmed, because I think that picture is balony.

How will they do that, if they said you can't import the Shepard? If he/she dies in ME2, you'll be stuck using the default Shepard, with all the default choices, whatever they might be. And who would you be playing as if Shepard is dead?

And iirc, in ME2, if you read the description about Mars, it said it's forbidden, as they're are still doing research on prothean technology or something like that. So we probably won't be going to Mars in ME3 unfortuntley.

I downloaded the Pinnacle Station, I actually got it for free since I brought ME1 Platinum Hits. I haven't even attempted to find it yet, and it's actually been a while since I've played ME1. So I really can't answer that.

I think, they might let you still import that Shepard, so the characters that didn't die during the suicide mission are in 3, people will talk about the falling hero, the first human Spectre. Heck the guy in the photo might be the replacement for dead Shepard. He takes over the Normandy or has his own ship, you have to play as someone.

Maybe. I just don't think they'd go through all that trouble, just to contradict something they stated months ago. If it was the guy in the picture, that would require another Voice Actor, and like I said, I just don't think they'll go through all that trouble.

Well you have to know Bioware, there the type of company that likes to add and keep things. They said your playthrough from one to two effects 3.
So if you import dead Shepard there will be a cutscene talking about his death, then you either a new character or they give you one.(not a Shepard, a whole new character)
About the voice acting, Mass Effect has no problem with that, I mean look at there cast, it's one of the few games that have A-list actors playing in a game.
(Michael Sheen, Seth Green, Adam Baldwin, Keith David, D.C Douglas, Tricia Helfer, and Yvonne Strahovski, just to name a few)
Bioware is like me with my drawings, one of the main thing thats focused on is the detail, ME is a heavily detailed game.

The Voice actors are superb, I'm just saying if they introduce a whole new character, that's going to mean a longer wait for the game. Think about it.

There's going to have to be the VA for Shepard, Male and Female, and there would have to be a VA for the new character, Male and Female. This would just add months to games current release. Bad enough, it's already getting bottle necked, because of the PS3 version of ME2, which hasn't even come out yet. I'd hate to wait longer for the game just so they could put in a new character if your Shepard dies. There's plenty of time for everyone to do more playthroughs of ME2 to survive the mission. Hell I've done about 8 playthroughs of the game, and I've survived each and every one of them.

Bioware started working on ME3 a few months after they made 2. They took a long break to relax the staff, then starting drawing up stuff. So allot of things are already set, the worst that will happen with the release is it getting push back 2 months. It's complicated, but they had all this planned out when they first announced there plans for the series and the importing.

Shepard's death might be a rare case, unless there are people who wants to see what happens when he die, and after. A whole lot of stuff has to happen in order for him/her to die in ME2.

I really can't see how people can get him killed..

As long as you're not lazy, and do all the loyalty missions, you should be able to pull it off. I tried to die on purpose on one of my playthroughs, but all that happened was that I ended up losing 2 people in my crew, and I lived. It's pretty easy and simple stuff, lol I don't see how people can fail the suicide mission.

One of the game mags have s article on both how to kill Shepard and how too keep the whole crew, including the members of the Normandy.

I already knew who, but I guess they thought maybe people thought just doing loyalty missions will keep the crew alive, when it's more than that.

I've never tried to kill him, don't want him dead.
Am I curious about what will happen in 3 with it? Yeah who wouldn't wanna know how the story plays out if Shepard is dead.

I only tried to kill him on that specific playthrough because I wanted to see what would happen, but I accidentley made it out alive so I did it all for no reason.. The playthrough I'm going to import in ME3 has everyone alive, and that was actually my 2nd playthrough. My first one 2 people died, and my 2nd no one died, so I decided to keep that one.

Common sense should tell you what to do after you've done all the loyalty missions. If you don't assign your crew to the right jobs that can kill you to. But like I said that's common sense, I mean you'd have to be an idiot to have Mordin as the leader of the fire team, or to have Grunt as the person holding up the barrier. The descriptions of each character even tells you who's right for the job and not. I'm having a hard time grasping how people can die on that level lol.

In a nutshell, all I think would happen is that the reapers would destroy the galaxy pretty much.
