And to think our draft could have looked like this....

    1st Round-Pick #12: OLB/DE Brian Orakpo

    2nd Round-Pick #37: CB Jairus Byrd
    2nd Round-Pick #48: RB LeSean McCoy
    2nd Round-Pick #64: RB Shonn Greene
    4th Round-Pick #114: WR Austin Collie
    4th Round-Pick #132: WR Johnny Knox

I take it you haven't actually seen Fells play. He'll run 8 or so yards turn around and catch the ball and fall forward. 40 catches 9.5 yards is not good, it just means you can catch. Either way he didn't just play TE last year, he rotated in at FB quite a bit and we have him taking reps at FB. We're not going to keep Thomas, Green, or even Rosario off the field for Fells, no way at all.

Edit: And no Fells is not a good blocker at TE which is why we have him taking reps at FB. If he was he would have been kept seeing as how McD doesn't use his TEs for anything but to block

    yep

Moreno is a pretty solid back.

I just think he will be an afterthough in a season or two.

Someone who is Bigger, Faster, and Stronger than him will knock him out. That guy may be on the roster.

RB's have a short shelf life anyway.

So as far as Mcbath and Bruton.....I dont think you can have both. At least one is gone.

I got a CP bet says Moreno doesnt even make the team next year

Moreno is worthless, that whole draft class was worthless, (and so is Robert Ayers)

Moreno is not worthless just very average. But I do agree with you to an extent. When a bigger stronger more explosive more powerful running back comes along (which won't be to hard to find) and provides a bit of wow factor into the run game Moreno will be a 3rd and long back at the most. I'm still not sold about the weight loss. He looks sub 200 pounds without sub 200 pound speed. I hope fir the sake of the run game this year he proves me wrong but I doubt it. Just way to average of a runner.

4 128 Bryant McNeal DE Clemson

3 85 Jeremy LeSueur CB Michigan
5 152 Jeff Shoate CB San Diego State

Moreno isn't worthless, he's just middle-of-the-road. 60 yards a game, 4.0 average. Tomlinson put up similar numbers last year. Just blah. Not a #12 performance by any means.

Darren McFadden, Cedric Benson come to mind, Larry Johnson took a couple years to get going too, so yes it happens. Dont forget Ayers wasn't a DE till this year, he was a LB.

That's the hope, in both of their cases ... that the Broncos were just so broken under McD that 1st-round talent looked like 2nd-3rd rounders.

We'll get a real good idea this season, though

ETA: seeing Orakpo at #13 still hurts though. It's not like he was unknown.

Only two of these players will be on the Broncos Roster at the end of Training camp. Moreno and Ayers.

McBath, Quinn and Bruton should all be gone.

Moreno and Ayers will have a hard time making it after this year.

Ayers doesn't have "it" and will be completly overshadowed by Doom and Von Miller.

Crazy to think that next season all but one may remain....and thats sad drafting. Add that to your resume Josh.
Not everyone a team drafts is going to make the team or even the NFL. Quinn is considered a fine blocking TE and that is what he was drafted for.
McBath and Bruton have contributed the last two years and if McBath can stay healthy he could be something special. Bruton is a ST animal! Moreno has had decent stats in spite of the way McDaniel screwed up the OL and Ayers will be a good DE.
Please remember, these players have yet to play 2 entire seasons under the same assistant coaches or cordinators. I sure think you are wrong about this post.
