    Predict the Denver Broncos Record

With football a week away and our roster pretty much set, what does everyone think that our season record will be?

    Oak vs. Den W
    Cin vs. Den W
    Den @ Ten W
    Den @ GB L
    SD vs. Den L
    bye
    Den @ Mia W
    Det vs. Den L
    Den @ Oak L
    Den @ KC L
    NYJ vs. Den L
    Den @ SD L
    Den @ Min W
    Chi vs. Den L
    NE vs. Den L
    Den @ Buf W
    KC vs. Den W

So I get 7-9. This seems a little bit high to me but I'll take it. Of course we will win some that we should loose (please please please be chicago) and loose some that we should win.

Many "if's" in my answer, but: If we continue in the Defense improvement, and we continue in our Offensive line improvement, and IF Kyle stays healthy, and IF the team as a whole doesn't suffer much wear and tear then .....

Oak vs. Den W We will own Oakland this year
Cin vs. Den W Tight game but we win giving us some momentum
Den @ Ten L This is a tough call, but we drop the ball on this one. We could win this one.
Den @ GB W Greenbay is vulnerable to a massive pass rush, we win this one
SD vs. Den L We have an attitude problem with SD right now
    bye
    Den @ Mia W
Det vs. Den W Tossup, I hope we win this one, hard to call
    Den @ Oak W
    Den @ KC L
NYJ vs. Den W Jets offense falls apart with a two prong blitz package
Den @ SD W Again we will own them ...
    Den @ Min W
Chi vs. Den W No way we lose this.
NE vs. Den L Brady may get us this time
    Den @ Buf W
KC vs. Den L Too much confidence here, we lose by a FG
    10 wins

6-10, and not intended to be pessimistic, but until the Broncos can stop the run, we can expect some wacky time of possessions by opponents and a few very long afternoons.

Starters w/o many injuries 8-10 wins, with a few bad injuries 5-7 wins.

    Depth is our problem.

I think the whole season comes down to the first 10 games. If we are 5-5 or 4-6, we will likely be out of the Luck Sweepstakes. In that case they continue to play hard and finish 6-10 or 7-9. If we would only have 1 or 2 wins at that point, we will lose out to get Luck.

Oak vs. Den W - This is a must win for us.
Cin vs. Den W - Cin might not win any games this season
Den @ Ten W - They will still be out of sync with QB questions and CJ2K having held out for so long
Den @ GB L - They will look like the SB champs they are an pound us. How we handle this loss will set up the rest of the season
SD vs. Den L - Unless we find an answer the the screen game, SD will win because they excel at the executing screen pass
    Bye
Den @ Mia W - Orton will hear his name chanted for the first time in an NFL game.
Det vs. Den W - Stafford will be hurt by this point in the season. And the "silver crush" will succumb to the "legion of doom (aka original CRUSH)
Den @ Oak L - Injures to the defensive line start to hurt us at this point in the season, we struggle to stop the run
Den @ KC W - We will split the series with KC this year. They will struggle with a hangover because they will believe their own hype from last season.
NYJ vs. Den W - our pass rush forces Sanchez into a lot of mistakes
Den @ SD L - we get swept by SD as they hit their last season stride
Den @ Min L - AP - they don't all him "All Day" for nothing
Chi vs. Den W - Best in the league pass rush, porous o-line, hatred coursing through Mile High, and we get the magic back.
NE vs. Den L - Our legion of Doom pass rush hits Brady early and often, but the refs factor heavily into the game and "unnecessary roughness" penalties kill us.
    Den @ Buf W - Buffalo sucks!
    KC vs. Den L
Remember: If you dont feed the trolls - they will go away! Neither logic nor a compelling argument will make a difference.

I will take 6-10 as there are too many "what ifs" surrounding this team and its identity and lack of depth on both lines.

Man, I used to be the one to start this thread but I guess I was too slow about it this year.

Oak vs. Den W - This game just screams win.
Cin vs. Den W - The Bengals look terrible and it's in Denver.
Den @ Ten W - Titans won't be as terrible as everyone thinks but we still pull it out.
    Den @ GB L - Ouch.
SD vs. Den W - I think the new attitude of the team get us this win.
    bye
Den @ Mia L - We generally struggle in Florida.
Det vs. Den W - The Lions are the favorite up-and-comer but I think Denver can win this one at home.
Den @ Oak W - The Raiders have regressed and I think Denver sweeps.
Den @ KC L - On the road in KC is rarely a good thing. At least it won't be in December.
NYJ vs. Den W - I know this one seems like a definite loss but I like the upset at home.
Den @ SD L - Yeah, we're not ready to sweep SD.
Den @ Min L - Really tough call. But I think we'll lose this one on the road.
Chi vs. Den W - I don't believe the Bears are all that. Denver upsets Cutler thanks to a fierce pass rush.
NE vs. Den L - Even though Shanny used to have their number, I don't think we do this year.
Den @ Buf W - Could be interesting. But the Bills still suck and the Broncos seem to just do well versus Buffalo.
KC vs. Den W - We end the year we a win over our rivals.

Well, that adds up to 10-6! But that's in a perfect world where the Broncos suffer no significant injuries. Because that's highly unlikely (we already suffered some), I'm going to knock off 3 wins based purely on injuries. I think our horrible depth will cost us big.

7-9, still a nice improvement from last season. But next year comes the REAL QB controversy. Do we re-sign Orton or Quinn to compete with Tebow? Hmm...

I would love to have a couple of pounds of what ever some of U are smoking! lol
Seriously, If Denver stays health they can win 8 or more games BUT if they have hit heavily with injury early, 2-14 could be their fate. Their starting defense can compete with most teams but their depth is seriously lacking, as U all know!
Offensively, playcalling and lack of OL depth will kill them. Also if Moreno goes down early again, they are really in trouble! Orton looked good in preseason but he isn't the QB that can put a team on his back and carry them. He does have good receivers at WR and TE but will need plenty of time to find them. He isn't like Tebow and come in and make things happen.
I will say something in the middle and say 4-12 again.
