Any predictions on how long it will be before he gets injured again? I say within 3 games of him coming back. I'm afraid he's probably going to be another guy with all the potential in the world and good when he's on the field but injuries follow him wherever he goes.

Actually, I remember him doing pretty well as a gunner last year.
Nah, i'm just kidding. I don't want to see him of Decker no where near STs. Atleast returning kicks.

If they ease him back, he should be ok...

That's great news! I would still work him in slowly. I'd probably start him out in some Redzone packages.

Sounds to me that he didn't have a full achilles tear like LenDale White and Syd'Quan Thompson.

That's the only way I could see him recovering so fast. He probably just had a partial Achilles tear.

    Woohoo!!!

That's two big targets for Orton to throw to, if Thomas can indeed get onto the field.

I thought that's what they said from the beginning.

    No freaking way!

That's awesome....since we usually only have 2 WR's on the field at a time there is no reason to rush him back. It would be awesome if he was a solid contributor by week 4 or 5.

He is a rare physical talent if his speed is back.

I never read anything about them saying it was a partial Achilles tear.

They said it would take until mid-November (around Thanksgiving).

Maybe they did and I missed it. But I doubt that.

Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas (Achilles) is expected to open the season on the active roster, avoiding the reserve/NFI list.
This is an immensely positive sign for Thomas, as football czar John Elway conceded during the offseason that the 2010 first-rounder would miss the first six weeks of the season on the NFI list. Though the history of receivers returning from Achilles tears is checkered, Ronald Curry and Brandon Stokley went on to post-surgery success even if they remained injury prone. Thomas is clearly more talented than both, which gives him a better chance of beating the odds. Don't expect a fantasy impact before mid-season.

Wow really? That's crazy. I really hope we're not rushing him back. I'd rather give him more rest than needed.
