    terrible game

the vikings offense was...i dont even think theres a word for it. and theyre inability to realize how the check down passes and YAC were killing them, and not being able to figure it out...

    sad

well they know how good we are at deep passing, once they got lucky and vj slowed down and missed the wide open td, they shut EVERYTHING down deep and said just give em everything underneath, and luckily we held off their 7 man pass rush enough to prevail

    our defense was awesome today.....whew

What the hell was wrong with the Vikings DC/HC? 15 completions to RB's means you cover those dudes.

rivers attempted more passes (46 attempts) than the vikings ran total plays (43) lol

we had over 400 yards total to their 197

we had 30! first downs to their 10

we held their qb under 40 yards passing which is pretty much unheard of in this day and age

aside from a 46 yard run from AP, we kicked his ass all day too

if not for some huge mistakes (2 dropped tds, a ST lapse, and a completely dumb ass int) we would have beat the living hell out of the vikes

props to them for that pass rush though, but perhaps it would have been wiser to mix up their coverage instead of just giving up ALL underneath routes

Well what kind of sense does that make?

You blitz and then take away the deep threats? If you blitz you should worry about the hot reads and short throws since that's where the QB will be looking first.

Nice win for the Dolts, but man, Vikings just went run, run, no passes, and SD just stacked the box.

guess they couldn't cover it all

hey they did a hell of a job , they just couldn't get the job done, and it's not like their O helped em

but then again, our D looked NICE!

aside from the one long AP run, we knocked that guy on his ass alot!, that was nice little payback

You blitz so Rivers doesn't have time for the deep ball and then as you said look for hot reads/checkdowns.

I haven't been able to watch it yet but it sounds like they went into prevent defense and were just over-matched.

I still think the Chargers can beat the Patriots (as they should have last year) but not if they play like this. Should still be an interesting game.

Yeah, just a feeling Brady won't go run, run, run, etc.

And the kind of dumpoffs at it again, most of Rivers passes seemed to be to RB's.
