    Von Miller DROY

Von Miller now has some serious competition for DROY as Aldon Smith is having a monster game on MNF

Smith has now passed Miller in sacks by a rookie this year

So sad after tonight :( I still love you Von Miller

MNF tonight...Aldon Smith has gotten 3 sacks, putting him over Miller in Rookie sacks...Smith is now at 13.5 while Von is at 11.5...Smith is now 1 sack from tying the rookie sack record, with 2 games to play.

Makes me a sad panda cuz I think Miller is better across the board, and it's looking like he will be missing out on rookie sack record as well as potentially DROTY

No reason to be sad dude. Von is a monster. We couldn't have done better with our pick.

Von is better. Smith is lucky to be playing against Big Ben who would rather take a sack than throw an incompletion.

Most players love to chase someone down, Von still has two games to go too.

Smith just drew a target on his back and Miller's going to go after that record all the harder. Plus Orton is on the menu

Roethlisberger is a sitting duck back there tonight. Easy target for Smith.

right now, aldon smith has an edge. He is playing great. Von miller laid a egg yesterday against Patriots. Unless, his next 2 games are huge, Aldon Smith will end up winning it.

Man.... First time I've seen this guy play but he is pretty unreal tonight

On a side note, I think Von's surgery has affected him slightly. Just hasn't looked the same to me.

Ben Roethlisberger looks like a wounded wildebeest trying to get away from a lion. It's not even fair. I'm almost sure if his ankle wasn't busted he would get away. Might as well be Kyle Orton back there (yeah, I went there ).

Agreed that Von laid an egg yesterday, But I still think hes in the drivers seat for the award.

Smith just got another sack. He has 2.5 on the game and 7 QB hits... Remarkable

Except Von is an every down player and has racked up forced fumbles, pass deflections and a ton of tackles for a loss. Also, wasn't one sack negated by a defensive holding penalty?

    I don't think it matters.

    Von is just as good.

I want Von to win it. But if he doesn't Ill be okay with it.
In 09 Cushing won it. But then look at Clay Matthews

I'm not going to take away from the guy because he is doing some work out there but, Roethlisberger is terrible back there with that ankle. If one of his OL guys misses a block, it's pretty much an automatic sack unless he throws it away.

I will say this though: whoever that guy is that supposed to be blocking Smith is getting completely owned. Those stunts are downright nasty.
