Nice to hear you guys like him. We needed some end depth.

Apparently his only weakness is strength which can be fixed easily.
So cal Water Polo player Broncos fan

In his first start T.J Yates has tied Tony Romo for playoff wins.

I kept up with him.. transferred from USC to Tennessee after they went on probation. Kind of a tweener right now but could definitely come in and bulk up and provide an excellent pass rush from DT position. Could also compete with Ayers for a LDE position. Guys, this is a great pick up. Trust me on this.

    Athletic tweener.

Think Coples with less talent but a better work ethic and motor.

I wouldn't expect this kid to even sniff time on the playing field.

He's a defensive end who was forced to play out of position this year at DT.

    Here's a scouting reports

    Malik Jackson-Tennessee

    Height:6046

    Weight: 284 lbs.

    Grade: 6.6 (Grading Scale)

    Strengths:

Physically gifted prospect who possesses ideal length and plenty of athletic ability…shows some nice explosion out of his stance when asked to shoot gaps…can maintain a low pad level and uses his hands well to shed blocks…at his best when allowed to use his athletic ability in space…may be a better fit at DE than at DT…shows the ability to wash down the line and get in a position to make plays to the outside…Has some explosive power to his game and can overwhelm the OT at the point of attack with his bull rush…Has the strength necessary to set the edge against the run…could be a definite 34 DE prospect.

    Weaknesses:

One directional athlete who will struggle to change directions quickly…doesn’t display natural flexibility…He must work on his technique when it comes to staying low through contact…too often he will pop up in his stance and allow himself to be easily blocked…Needs work on his hand usage if he hopes to be able to disengaged at the next level…Was forced to play out of position at Tennessee…USC transfer after their bowl ban.

Wait a minute, is this guy an end or a tackle? NFL.com said end at first, but now it says tackle...
