Brutal start to a schedule that's supposed to be favorable. Barely dodged a bullet with Nirthern Iowa today. Didnt look like a national title contender to me.

But I'm sure you'll say a win is a win. And I agree. But they better hope today was just rust or it's going to be a long season in Madison.

If it was any game other than the first I'd be worried.

O-Line needs to mesh better, it was pretty obvious we had 3 new starters on it. Secondary looked bad.

But, no turnovers and very few penalties = 1-0

Also I don't see Wisconsin making a BCS game without winning the B1G Title game, unless the title game is there only loss.

oh ya and the Big East is awful.

    FSU will disappoint like always.

    #13 Wisconsin at Oregon State
    #16 Nebraska at UCLA
    Air Force at #19 Michigan
    Miami at #21 K-State

I thought that was a peculiar prediction myself.

I will say that I thought they looked good considering this is suppose to be a rebuilding year. I think Boise will be a much improved team by the end of the year and I think Southwick is going to be a very good QB.

    Don't get pistol-whipped in Reno.

I'm curious to see how good Reno is this year. They started off right by beating Cal. They could be the spoiler at the end of the year. BYU is the only other formidable opponent on the schedule.

I don't see BYU on Nevada's schedule or Nevada on BYU's. They are both open 3 Nov., but that would put them over twelve games if they played then.

Sorry about that, I bounced from Reno to Boise in mid-sentence. I was referring to BYU and possibly Reno being the only decent opponents left on Boise's schedule.

Right. BYU is a tough home game for Boise State. Don't forget at Southern Mississippi which could be tough, too. Add in the season finale at Reno and BSU has a pretty tough schedule by MWC standards. Fresno State and San Diego State are good, but Boise gets them at home. Air Force is luckily not on Boise's schedule.

I think I'll be in town 29 Sept. Maybe I'll go see Boise when they visit ABQ to play UNM.
