46 turn overs and counting in less than two full seasons

Chargers fans and gentlemen I give you Philip Rivers.

Now for a guy who was supposed to be "Elite" "Better than Eli Manning and Ben Roethlisberger" because he
"Carried " his team and they didn't that sure is a lot of turn overs.

Did he get tired of "carrying" his team and drop them ?

Maybe he is just taking a break?

Then again maybe he was never carrying his team and was actually being carried by the talent around him?

Pretty sure it's the last one anyone else agree?

What could have been if only they kept Brees and Marty

Stuart Scott on ESPN just said that Rivers has 47 turnovers the last 2 seasons, but Sanchez has 50. So the Chargers aren't the worse. So they have that going for them, which is nice.

well delussional people like baprod will continue to insist rivers is elite if everything goes right as in great running game,, great wrs,, great oline

consider the tale of two cities or qbs

one has been sacked 45 times
has 1265 team rush yards with out qb yards
    has 316 com......32 tds...8 ints 3 f lost........record 10-4

    one sacked 43 times
has 1365 yards with out qb yards
    314 com..... 22tds....15...ints 7 f lost.....record 5-9

that is the tale of an elite qb in arron rodgers and not so elite in philip rivers...showing what a good qb can do even if they dont have a stellor run game or oline

Yeah, I remember arguing with that one idiot who kept going on about tony carter and how philip rivers is elite. The poor guy just could not look through the fog. Too bad he does not see this thread. It might help clear things up a little for him.

Rivers has CHOKED these past two years. I know, because I had him as my FF QB last year and watched almost every Bolts game last year. He looked terrible. This year, is pretty much more of the same. And he wanted peyton manning here. HAHA.
    So far:
    FA- Melvin Gordon. Brandon Scherff
    1. Kenneth Murray LB; 2. Shenault WR; 2B. Biadazz Center, 3. OT

47 versus 50....pretty much the same level of suck-e-ness.

you lie a l lot, i have said on multiple occasions that rivers isn't playing good at all anymore. i have said that he is the guy going forward because if we get him decent blocking again (something that is absolutely crucial to a pocket QB like rives) then he may get back to playing well again.

never once said he will play at an elite level again, but do continue to spread lies in order to run your feeble smack. pretty pathetic that you still have to tell stories in order to talk smack even when your team and current borrowed HOF QB is far and away better than mine.

we could not do any better unless we had a guy like peyton manning fall in our laps like the broncos did. rivers has shown he can play at a high level when he has good blocking, that is a fact.

you guys can trash him all day and rightfully so but he deserves the benefit of the doubt and i am sure the new regime, whoever that may be, will agree.

Rivers seems like he has lost all confidence in everything around him. I always thought of him as an elite game manager, if that makes sense lol.

It's clear he needs more talent to succeed, which all QBs need. However, I believe it's becoming clear that he REQUIRES elite skill position players and lineman to be a top 10 nfl QB. That in itself tells me his prior elite season may have been more about his teammates than himself. Just my opinion though.

Funny how he did not sign with the titans since you know he fell in their laps....:

Seriously dude they released him and that's about the only thing that is close to falling in our laps. It's not like he hit the waiver wire and we where the first in lines, that would of been him falling in our laps, but he was a free agent and CHOSE us after we made our pitch.

Just stop man you are embarassing yourself with that crap.

Actually you have said many times that the Chargers will always be contenders as long as they have their "elite" QB Philip Rivers.......so which is it? You are talking out of both sides of your mouth.

And BTW- "borrowed" really doesnt bother anybody. You attempt to troll the boards with statements like that, but the bottom line is Peyton Manning is currently the QB for the Division Champion Denver Broncos.... and your team is left with Rivers and his 50 mil owed over the next 3 years. Your team should really consider "borrowing" a new leader as well- look at what it did for us.
Blame the o-line, blame the deisigned roll outs, blame Norv, but eventually you need to come to grips that Rivers is just a chump. He barely made a team full of all-pros competitive, whats he going to do for the rest of his carreer?

nope, i never said that. i never said the chargers will always be contenders as long as they have rivers LOL what a complete and total made up fabrication.

the only thing i have ever said that is remotely close to that is with rivers they will always have a chance. even if i had said that recently, which i haven't, that is not suggesting that he is either elite right now or that the chargers will always be contenders with rivers.

besides, how would you know what i said a few years ago? you didn't have the guts to show your face around here until your team got lucky with manning "choosing" your mediocre team and turning them into contenders overnight.

your borrowed HOF QB that saved your team from mediocrity wont be there long and i am sure you will be gone with him, like all fairweathers.

manning could have signed with a lot of teams, titans offered him more, SF had better players and more winning potential. but he chose Denver for whatever reason.

whats embarrassing is broncos fans acting like they were his only choice, as if no other team compared LOL

sorry but that is an opportunity that just fell in your laps, you have no say in where manning decide play and that is the point.

i only pointed this out when broncos fans act like it is so easy to just find a new QB on the market then trade away their failed first round draft pick like the broncos did.

rivers is the best chance we got going forward, he deserves the benefit of the doubt because he has indeed played at a high level before, even without great talent at receiver.

I know what you said by using a simple search feature. Its actually quite entertaining to read some of the nonsense you used to spew around here. In fact I pulled up a random thread you made about Rivers and its loaded with a bunch of hilarious remarks you made about your "elite QB" and how not many other QB can "carry" a team like Rivers does, and how as long as you have Rivers you will compete for division titles until hes gone.

And again your not hurting anybodys feelings by saying we borrowed Manning. You seem to think that is some kind of sting to us, but your wrong. Hes right now at this very moment the QB of the Division winning Denver Broncos. Borrowed, bought, bribed, stolen it has no effect us, he is our QB and your team is stuck with Philip Rivers- LMAO
