I was looking for something else and found this.

              To add to my list:

The feeling after your team wins the SB.

Seeing familiar names on this MB. It's like sitting down with a group of friends.

Apple-cinnamon pancakes. That I need to go make right now. Yes, we have breakfast for dinner.

                      Quiet. I guess that's why I'm a night person.

Sophia, I hope you don't mind that I'm posting this here. I don't think it's worthy of it's own thread and I can tie it into yours because it is a lot of people's favorite things.

How do fads start? One year, it was the elastic bands (someone made me two little orange and blue Bronco "dudes", one with a "helmet" ). This year, fidgets. Spinners and cubes and a few other things. They've been around for ages to help special needs kids. Some stores can't keep them stocked.

I understand when someone in the fashion industry says that this is going to be the next big thing and they get some celebrities to help out. Some people want to be in style so they make this a big thing.

But a "toy"? It took off without any advertisements or endorsements. The power of kids and social media?

Thing is, fads die. There's going to be a lot of drawers filled with fidgets. Except for those that benefit from them, kids are going to go on to the next thing.

What did I do before fidgets? Roll the hem of my shirt between my fingers. Making little balls out of tissues or napkins.

lol - I didn't know I was the one who started this thread til I read your post, that must be why I bump it so often as a favorite thread ... of coarse I don't mind. :thumb:

I'll admit I had to look up what a fidget was, then I suddenly wondered why I don't have one.... any little object to relieve stress without being completely obnoxious sounds like me. With me it was always the stress balls for years, but everybody kept stealing them out of my desk .... and the stupid ones filled with colored powder I've popped and made a huge mess....

probably social media is the biggest way fads take off ...

That sounds awesome!! One of my most favorite past times ....

So hot out here already, and the backcountry isn't like Colorado.... I am so looking forward to August when we'll be in Ouray for about a week. We did a lot of the back country around Silverton a few years ago and loved it. Hoping to do a lot of different off-roading this year, even if we did much of the same it doesn't get old. We don't do anything extreme, just love going topless with the Jeep and enjoying the scenery ....
