freeney was their best pass rusher. they have changed the way they blitz the QB since losing him and its thrown some offense's off.

oh look someone else noticed to, i guess i am not crazy after all!!

Liuget makes an impression: San Diego’s first-round selection in the 2011 draft, defensive end Corey Liuget, continues to fill a role as a front-line player on the team’s young defense, making game-changing plays each week. The University of Illinois product notched a sack against Jacksonville and helped lead a defensive front that held the Jaguars to 78 rushing yards. Liuget has 18 tackles and two sacks through seven games, looking comfortable for a second straight season in his role as a disruptive force in the interior of San Diego’s defense.

the chargers defense has been improved dramatically over the last few games, unlike the donkos defense which is still swiss cheese

Swiss Cheese they held Luck to 228 yds passing and Richardson 14 carries for 47 yds.
They gave the Colts the ball twice in the redzone ( int and fumble by Holiday) lead ot 10 pts. Then a safety lead to a free kick and another td. that's 19 total pts off turnovers.
You cant give Luck the ball over and over again in the Red Zone in his house and blame the defense who forced the Colts to punt 9 times. Your defense forced 5 punts.

Luck had 228 yards passing, forced 9 punts, that without Woody and Champ was out in the 2nd half.

Run game, they didnt do much.

Holliday fumble gave them 7, int gave them another 3, FF gave them 2 and another 7.

Short fields arent a good recipe for success.

SD's DL looking pretty good again and the chargers have more sacks than the broncos so far
    kinda self explainatory right bap

our dline has more sacks and is leading the league in stuffing the run

your defense is forced to blitz and bring heat cause your dline isn't doing it

The Bolts probably have the hardest remaining schedule of the 3 in our division.

Bolts have to play the following 6 teams with winning or tied records
Broncos twice, KC twice, Miami and Cinci

    Broncos have to play
Bolts twice, KC twice, and NE

    KC has to play
    Broncos twice, Bolts twice, INDY

our DL is "doing it" the last couple games LOL

we are a 3-4 defense, a lot of pressure is supposed to come from our LB'ers too

KC and SD have the toughest.

KC has Indy whose beaten SF, Sea, and Den, along with Den/SD x2, and Washington while RG3 is looking like his normal self again. Even Oak is a tough game for them, they were in a dogfight in Arrowhead that game.

We have some tough ones, as well, at NE is probably the toughest though.

I don't think the Broncos have the harder schedule because they don't have to go up against themselves!

Why would we nobody else is?

Pro football focus defensive grades for both teams

Denver Broncos overall defense a 6.8 not great by any standards but positive which is better than negative 17th in the league
Chargers over all defensive score -46.3 thats not good at all 28th in the league

Denver broncos run defense 18.6 7th
Chargers -18.2 yikes thats horrible 28th

    Denver pass rush -5.6 22nd
Chargers -2.4 21st hey you beat us on this one then again Von has been out 6 weeks we will see how this stands again in a few weeks

Denver pass coverage -12.2 negatives not good but 20th
Chargers -34.8 nasty negative number 32 and dead last
