Also Bruton played well in preseason from the LOS and isn't just a special teams specialist. I think Bruton really stepped up this preseason and still offers more on ST than Duke does.

Can anyone explain what is going on with Kelcy Quarles? Cut by the packers, signed to the patriots PS and then cut by the patriots today?

They signed him because Siliga Easley and Jones were all injured in preseason but the first 2 were recently cleared to play in the first game so it was a reactionary move incase they lacked depth. Ben Gaston was signed and cut for the same reason.

When you cant block and your only consistency in the passing game is dropping passes thrown at you or running the wrong route then your considered a liability in the passing game and thats something you cant tolerate in the kind of offense the Skins plan to run and the offense we run. Its that simple. However, he could improve on a PS and in all honesty his speed makes him good for the scouting team.

Boy if that isn't a loaded question.
I wish they put him out against 1st teamers more but from what he faced he did well. Still he is a distraction like it or not with little fault of his own, Dallas is the perfect place for him its one of the few places where media attention is and singled out distractions is welcomed.

From what I see nothing official for Lou Young Jordan Sullen or Jerome Murphy.

What I want to know is why Kevin McDermott is on our PS, did we really need to use a spot for a long snapper?

As far as I know he doesnt do double duty unlike Brewer who is actually an emergency MLB. They brought in some guys earlier in training camp to seat Brewer but it seems a bit if a waist to sign a LS to the PS.

I doubt McDermott lasts very long on our practice squad. From what I understand they brought him in to compete with Brewer and whoever wins gets the spot obviously and the other is cut. So that should mean we will make one more move for our practice squad. I'm hoping Louis Young is the guy but for some reason seems like the team has decided to move on from him.

I wouldn't mind getting Marc Mariani (if our return game is still in a flux after a game or two). Mariani made the Pro Bowl as a kick/punt returner his rookie year, then broke his leg at the start of the next season. He's been mending for two years and was back strong before Tennessee cut him.

I checked the Panthers' official website and Tavarres King is on their practice squad.

Not interested. Have no respect for him as an individual. And certainly not worth the headaches he would bring from a PR standpoint.

And I am critical of the Bronco RBs.

Why add him to the list when he unavailable due to indefinite suspension?
